Any AT&T Subs in NYC Experiencing Service Problems?

Just a quick question for NYC residents. Any of you experience an outage of your AT&T cellphone service today? It is being reported in several different places.

Thanks,
Eric

wm6 treo 750 update info?

Does anyone know when the official release of wm6 for the treo 750 will be? I know carriers around the world are starting to offer them, but I'd prefer to go about doing things the legal way (lame, I know).

Any insight would be helpful.

nokia N75, help please.

I'm buying an at&t branded N75 friday, what should I expect? Of course I'd rather have one unbranded, but I'm getting this one at a great price.

So, what about email? Could I check my microsoft outlook email account from that phone?

What is the biggest memory card that the phone supports?

Thanks! 🙂

Will the takeover improve at&t coverage?

Will the use of Cellular One towers improve my at&t phone performance? It seems that C1 has a better footprint in my area than at&t.

Cingular service

I plan on getting a pay as you go plan but Cingular has a daily $1 fee for usage.
Therefore i am thinking of getting T-mobile instead because there is no $1 fee for daily usage.
Any opinions as to which direction i should go?

JD Power Survey

Wireless Call Quality Problems Continue to Decline

Alltel, AT&T, Cellular and Verizon Wireless Rank Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Call Quality.

The number of reported wireless call quality problems has declined for a third consecutive reporting period, reaching the lowest levels in the history of the study, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Wireless Call Quality Performance Study-Volume 2 released today.

Now in its fifth year, the semi-annual study measures wireless call quality based on seven customer-reported problem areas that impact overall carrier performance: dropped calls; static/interference; failed connection on the first try; voice distortion; echoes; no immediate voice mail notification; and no imme...

apple upset

I wonder if AT&T knew beforehand that apple would release a phoneless iphone/ipod two months after initial iPhone release? And drop the price by $200 bucks.

People who just bought an iPhone had the "luxary" of paying $200 dollars to have it early. That's a bit of cash.

Anyone else get the feeling that Apple pulls these upsets just to go down in future marketing textbooks?

Reception in Pittsburgh

I switched from Sprint to Cingular in December of 2004 in order to get GSM service and better reception. For over two years I have received excellent service. But within the last month, dropped calls and lost coverage have become the norm. I don't believe it is my phone because in talking with friends in the area I find they are experiencing the same problems. Does anyone know why AT&T service around the Pittsburgh area has degraded? My contract has expired and I'm looking for a new phone ... with any carrier.

hanging on to TDMA

I have a TDMA account. I am waiting to see if any good phones are coming out for Q4 07 or Q1 08 before I switch to GSM. Are there any benefits to GSM over TDMA? How good is the unlimited Media/Internet browsing? I am thinking of an N Series N80 if possible.

A word two about so called UNLOCKED PHONES...

I know someone who 😉 used to be a cingular level 3 tech. Phones that you are using Unlocked may have poor service because they are not fined tuned by the carrier or may not be designed to work on that carriers system. Just food for thought

Buyers beware of PureMobile.com

I have had the worst experience ever. I bought a phone though them exactly a week ago (SE K550i) and it wasn't until Wednesday that I got an email from them asking me to choose a different model because the K550i was "a special order" and they had no idea when it'd become available. (this phone showed on their website as a "special order" phone)
After getting that email I replied to their email asking them to cancel that order because I had decided to get the W610i yesterday (which showed on the site as "available" Well, here I am Saturday, I just got an email saying that the phone is out of stock.
I had never EVER heard of so many different ways to describe your "stock" as I have on PureMobile.com. It seems like if a phone shows as "speci...
