Sure, AT&T already has the Curve, the 8800 and the Pearl, not to mention older Blackberries such as the 8700 and the 7130c. But they won't let that stop them from introducing yet another push e-mail powerhouse from RIM.


Rumor has it that the 8820 from the Crackberry folks will be announced Tuesday, September 4th, by AT&T. The newest handset from RIM will be the first to feature Wi-Fi and GPS (but sadly no 3G high-speed HSPDA data transmission still).

Otherwise this is standard Blackberry fare. Rumor has it the 8820 will be the thinnest Blackberry yet. Too bad it'll most likely be overshadowed by whatever Apple announces that day.

I have had my fair share of wireless dealers Sprint,Nextel,T-Mobile . Can't say anything bad about any of those carriers. But they have n't match the level of service I get with you people from At&t . I want to thank you people for the great service you provide me for my wireless needs for my family and I . Great job people you got a loyal customer for years to come . I'm really cunfused (nothing new for me 😕 ). Can someone please help clear this up for me? I receive a monthly discount on my Cingular (AT&T) bill because I enetered the FAN# of my employer's group. That also allows me access to the Premire Account web site. When I go on the website, it says that because I am a Premier customer I can upgrade my phone pretty-much anytime I want (with a discount) even if I'm only a few months into a contract. When I asked about this over the phone with "regular account" customer service, they said, "NO. You can't get a discount to upgrade until the end of your contract." BUT, the website says I can. Please, I'm begging any AT&T employee to please tell me any information you have regarding the release of the new Q. I've been into many AT&T stores in my area recently and none of the clerks had even heard of the phone let alone knew when it was going to be released. I've been a LOYAL fan of Cingular (A.K.A. AT&T) for MANY years..as a matter of fact I've been going month to month for the past 3 years. However, I travel frequently to coastal area of N.C. (zip 27932). Cigular has never had coverage in that area. I'm seriously considering switching to Sprint or Verizon since it looks like their maps cover that area...I'd REALLY appreciate ANY suggestions! THANKS!

I just got a new SE K790a --I HAD been using an old Nokia 8390 (LOVED that phone!) with the 32k PacBell (!!) SIM.

I'd been using the old SIM in my new phone until today, when I went in to get the new SIM.

Maybe I was expecting miracles, but the reception around town is really no better than with my old SIM.

I just now got off the phone with an overly zealous AT&T rep who told me the reason I may be experiencing the drop-outs (not dropped calls), may be due to my having an unlocked phone (as opposed to all the "superior" phones AT&T has).

He said specifically that the unlocked phones don't have the programming needed to smoothly transition from one cell tower to another.

Is this true? Or does that rep need a life?

So its pretty funny. Monday we got our new at&t signage, and we had 3 little jacks laying out back by our back door. well come to find out the next morning, someone stole one of our jacks! We were about to put out a missing ad for him! lol not really. but it would have been funny.

I have a customer coming in within the hour who has a Nokia and is experiencing problems making and receiving calls. There is a small icon below the "AT&T" icon that looks like a harmonica. He spent hours with tech support last night and could not seem to fix the problem. In the event that I cannot figure it out, does anyone know what this might be and how to fix it? Any help would be much appreciated.
