I have a Blackjack, but my company is switching our department to Macs (work in video/print department). This switch doesn't make my Blackjack worthless as it would still sync to email via our server. Only loss of features would be the ability to sync my tasks and notes which must happen via USB.

My question is, with the recent $200 price drop of the iPhone, I am much more inclined to go that direction. I have a couple of questions I need answered:

1) Currently I have a family plan. On my Blackjack, I have the Unlimited Data/Web & 200 text messages add on. If I swap my sim out of my Blackjack to an iPhone, will my current plan work? I guess I'm asking, does the iPhone require a specific data plan?

I was wondering if anyone has any info on the at&t 5700 or the at&t Tilt. I just got an email saying we are getting these phones in my store but i cant find any info or specs on either of them, as well as the lg cu515 or samsung A737. Just checkin if anyone knew anything about them

What if you have an iphone but are not on an att contract do you still get the rebate?

Part of the allure of the iPhone was it's iconic look, with it's touch screen capabilities. It had a distinct "look," that was unparalled in any gadget. It was one reason many people bought the phone.

But now Apple has the iPod Touch. Same look. Same features. Just no phone. Cheaper. Thinner. Same iconic touchscreen capabilities.

I would never have bought an iPhone... but I will admit it was a sexy looking gadget. Now, I don't even have to consider buying one. I can have the same look, for less.

Do instant messenger programs use your data plan or does it count as text messages?

I have an 8525 with an unlimited data plan. I know I can use things like Yahoo and Google Talk but I am not sure how they work. If it counts as Data then I have nothing to worry about, if using them count towards text messages then I could see my self going over my text messages and getting billed extra.

i wanted to know why does att say that their 3g phones doesnt work on pay as you go but i heard that it do and att has a reason they wont allow you to get it and use it on prepaid i know 3g dont work but wont the wap browser and everything else still work like regular phones?

Apple is dropping the price of the 8G iPhone by $200 and discontinuing the 4G iPhone altogether. When will the at&t site put this huge news up I wonder? There's going to be a few irate customers out there when this news goes wide release.
