SNL Kagan Releases New 10-Year Wireless Projections
Study forecasts that 84% of U.S. population will have mobile phones by end of 2007

Monterey, Calif. (Aug. 23, 2007) โ€“ In a just-released study, SNL Kagan estimates that 84% of the U.S. population, including consumer, business and double users, will have mobile phones by the end of 2007, with this percentage surging past 100% by 2013.

SNL Kagan's research also shows that U.S. cell phone subscriptions will grow at a rate of about 3% per year over the next decade versus total population growth of only 1%, despite decreasing net additions as 100% penetration is approached. These projections anticipate increased data use, including text, Web and video, which could be accelerated by new ...

Attention Everyone!

Hello Team AT&T!!! I'll make this short and sweet! The weekend is almost upon us! I know everyone is just drooling with anticipation knowing that they can make a a lot of money today! Remember we make money off everything we sell, so push everything! Don't be afraid to ask for the sale because so many reps are and they lose money because of that!!

Always push data devices! And never sell them without data plans!

A simple "Did you want to go ahead and get this phone today?" is all you need! Customers need to be closed! When you talk to a customer a deal is made, either you close them or they close you. Which one will you pick?

Go Team!!!

PPU Text Messaging

It looks like Sprint is getting ready to raise ppu text messaging rates again (to $.20/message effective Oct 1). I wonder how long it will take for ATT and Verizon to follow suit.

Interesting that this time Sprint is not going to let people out without an etf, saying the change doesn't count as a material change to the terms of service.

upgrade to N75 or 6126??

I currently have a Nokia 6102i that is finally eligible for an upgrade. Through premier I have several options...
Some that stick out to me are the Nokia 6126 (free), SYNC ($49), Nokia N75 ($99), Samsung a727 ($99).
I think any of these will be a big upgrade over the 6102i which I've been a bit disappointed with....

I need great reception, I travel a lot in some pretty rural areas (AL). Since I travel so much it would be a huge plus to be able to check e-mail and weather, sports scores etc.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Is there something else out there I should consider?
thanks in advance!

any cool/good new phones coming out soon?

my parents and my sister are eligible to upgrade. they aren't picky, they just want cool phones with cool features. and it has to be an all around good phone as well. any phones out that they should check out? any phones that they should wait for? thanks in advance.

ohhh and i went on att's website to check out some phones there is discount pricing or full retail, but there is no one-year contract option. we all prefer one years. is that still possible?

Add 2 lines at Best Buy

I have 3 lines active on a family share plan
I was at a Best Buy store the other day and they said they could do the add 2 more lines for me
I saw they had the V3r's for free and the V3xx's for $69
I went by a genuine ATT store and they tell me the v3r are discontinued and their V3xx's are $99 after a rebate

How can best buy sell them for cheap(er) or does best buy make you buy some other stuff with their phones to get them for that lessor price???

Anybody tried Best Buy for this other than a real ATT store???

Nokia 6267 aka 6263

For thos of you who Love Nokia and are Cingular/ATT customers, I thought i 'd let you know about the 6267/6263. It looks alot like the 6126, except for the 6 hours of talk time, external mp3 player buttons, fm radio, and 2mp camera. oh and stereo bluetooth. It's comming sooon to Europe as the 6276, but it was announced today that an american version the 6263 was just aproved by the FCC, so check it out, its already listed here, and the specs make me want to drool. the compact light weight simplicity of the 6126 with all the fun of the N75
