wha phone does every one use for cingular and why?

I've had my mind all made up to make the switch from VZW to Cingular as soon as my contract is up in February. Now I'm seeing all of these disturbing threads about Cingular's service going to Hell in a handbasket. What gives? Are there honestly issues right now that I should be concerned about, or are these isolated problems? I have several reason why switching to Cingular makes sense for me, but not if the service sucks. Why can't things be easy. 😕

Can I just e-mail someone's phone instead of text messaging them, so in a way I get unlimited test messaging?

I have a v710 and carry it in my pocket. problem is the soft keys on the side get bumped and switched into the silent mode. Thus, I don't get the incoming calls. Is there any way to lock just the ring changer soft button. I'm too lazy to find the owners book to look it up.Any help would be appreciated. Bob

So, I just went to get one of these at my local cingular store. (My dad who had vz until today wanted a faster data card) so we grabbed the lap top and went to the store. Omg! that thing is ****ing fast! my dad had an EV DO data card and it bursts up to 2 Mbps. I thought it wouldn't that much faster... oh boy was I wrong... TAKE THAT SPRINT! ha ha!

Does anyone no if Cingluar offers a corporate discount for Curascripts a subsidiary of Express Scripts. My wife works for them but does not have an email address.

I tried calling Cingular and they said I needed a FAN #?

I've had the same cell account for 18 years - from CellularOne which was then bought out by ATT Wireless which was then bought out by Cingular. I think that classifies me as a loyal customer.

I'm in a technical field which requires good analytical & troubleshooting skills, so I'm good at testing/looking for patterns with problems.

I am in New Jersey, but frequently travel via car to the south east.

Problem:

Since at least July, both my wife & I have been having problems with service on Cingular's network. People try and call us and will often get a message "Your call can not be completed as dialed. Please check the number and try again. Message 080T". The message # will vary depending on if the call...

Or other Motorola's.

But it seems that all the people who would come in and complain about their Cingular service, their phone, blah blah, had a v220 or v180 and have upgraded to the razr.

People.

Honestly, I can safely say that at least 80% of the people who come into my location complaining about service or phone issues have razr's or other motorola's.

The number may even be as high as 90%.

Anyone have one?

I am sorry if you think its rude, I just don't want to touch your phone, call me a germophobe, who cares? Constantly people come in with their phone in their hands frustrated handing it to me. Usually with one of these asinine statements:

"Its broke"
"You take a look at it."
"You figure whats wrong with it"
"This God *&^% thing won't turn on"
"I don't know whats wrong with it"

wanting to get my nephew(hes only 11 years of age) a phone thats got a keyboard so he can instant message and email, however no phone calls(that what his mother and father said). ANY suggestions?

I recently switched from TMO to Cingy. I had a bb 7105 and now have the bb pearl. This phone is a significant upgrade from the 7100 series. I don't mind the sure type, so it fits me perfectly.

With my TMO service, I was able to set up automatic alerts for stocks, weather reports, daily trivia questions, sports updates, etc. These would be texted to me daily and at setup intervals during the day. Is there a way to do that with Cingy's bb service?

Please advise.

After a previous threads service issues
my only final question is
I ended up with a music bundle that the outside box says ok with the a707 AND the d807,
but the cd with the pc suite sync software says ONLY for the d807, and after installing it, that appears true???
At this time the software seems NOT to recognize the phone.. usb at least...
downloading it from samsung is not an option, i have dial up, and its 41 megs.
if i take the disk into the corp store [back again,,,,]
will they give me another disk? any other tricks?

I would like to know if any new phones are coming out on Cingular. At present, I like only the Nokia 6682, but I think that's becoming obsolete.
Is there any info on what phones to expect in 2007 and a timeline on when those phones will be available to the public?

my girl has an account of her own and she's using a sony ericsson s710a she got it last januaray. its starting to take a crap on her. she wants another s710a do they usually still have these available?

if not will she be able to get another sony ericsson but different model? her complaint is she is used to the user interface. and she has a sony ericsson bluetooth 🙄
