I dont like how Cingular uploaded & doesnt give an option to delete the service #'s like "Check Bill Balance" "Music ID" and "Pay My Bill".... Does anyone know how to delete those service numbers from the address book? 😕

I have been a very loyal ATT then cingular customer for over 10 years. I called last week to upgrade some old "blue" nokia's .

Placed an order for some samsung "sync's" LAST WEEK Tues.

Got a call this week Tues.. "order" problems, after 6 calls, at least 3 hours.
MUCH confusion... now the last person i talked to said that the Sync a707's are on recall, and they can't "get" them.
Long story short [er] why is there so much confusion and inconstancy between call centers [at least that's what i assume is the problem each time i call i get some other part of the country, and some other straggled piece of cingular, that isn't fully connected to the rest]
ok, mostly venting, but is there any suggestions? secret numbers?

Any one know how to change the voice mail service center #......when your press and hold "1".....i changed it on my RAZR and programmed it to my mobile # so it would utilize M2M (say what you want....it was free my bill validated all calls to my mobile # as M2M). So im hoping I can do this on this phone....and the never ending question........ANY NEWS ON A FIX FOR THE GOD-AWFUL ASCENDING RINGTONE???

Okay, here's the deal. I'm currently with Verizon (have been for many years)and I have no problems with them at all. None the less, I have decided to switch to Cingular for a few reasons:

1. Roll-over (duh..I paid for those minutes)

2. My wife's phone through her work is with Cingular, so we would get the free mobil-to-mobil thing.

3. Many friends and family on Cingular (same advantage as #2).

4. I get a pretty big discount on my rate plane with Cingular because of where I work.

Now here's the temptation. Verizon has very cleverly set up their "New Every Two" discount to be available 2 months prior to the end of my contract. So here I am...in 5 days I could walk into a Verizon store and come out with a cool new phone (with...

Since this is a Nationwide forum, you have to understand that what you able to do in one area of the US, like lets say the West market, you are not able to do in the Southeast market.

So if somebody ask a question, or answer to a question they should refer to which area they are from. There are quiet a diff practices out there for the same thing. In one market it is possible to do and in the other market it is ot possible to do.

AT&T was able and could access all accounts in the US, hence that is why they could put a CA and a NY number on a family talk plan.

Cingular is still market specific, maybe for another few months, then it will be swiched too. NBI has already switched, the rest will come soon.

I've got approx 500 contacts in Phone memory on my Nokia 6201 and 6230. I want to get the Synch and transfer my contacts from Nokia phone memory to Synch phone memory.

BUT - all my contacts won't fit on the SIM Card, at the store they say they can't transfer from memory-to-memory, Nokia software apparently won't talk to Samsung, and I'm sure not going to re-key all those contacts and / or BT them one at a time.

Any suggestions would be appreciated ...

Effective January 21st Cingular will be increasing their pay per use texting to $0.15 per message. They state that this is not a change to terms and conditions, and, unlike sprint, will not terminate contracts for free. What are your thoughts?

i usually have reliable service w/ cingular, but lately this week and last weekend, i have been trying to make outgoing calls and i either a message pops up on my phone that says, "network failure" or i hear an automated voice that says, "all circuits are busy, please call again later" i think its self-explanatory but what is really going on, this happens after 3 o'clock pm and sometimes last to 6 at night, this has never happened to me before and i need to call people around that time and i cant get throught, which i consider a safety issue. can anyone explain this,

i am not a troll or not trying to down cingular, if there is anything i can do please help me, the only thing i can do is txt or receive incomming calls and im sometimes luc...

I'm thinking of switching from Verizon to Cingular. Verizon's cheapest advertised price in NYC is 39.99, but I'm currently paying 34.99 for 300 minutes, which is plenty for me (originally from Radio Shack).

🤨 Does Cingular have a similar "hidden" plan or a matching policy or something?
(I don't think I want to go the prepaid route.)

BTW, a mere three years ago, I was paying 29.99 to Sprint for 300. What's with this industry??

All these numbers are plus surcharges (and taxes). Cingular's current surcharges (not including taxes) for my zip code would be 4.93, Verizon's this month were 3.17. Sprint's were 3.91.

I was told from a buddy in Telesales that we are no longer getting anymore V3, V3i, V3r in our inventory... I checked Otiva and I was able to see that we are not expecting more V3's and there's only one more shipment for the v3i and one more shipment for the v3r.

Long story short, I had a Sprint account put in my name as ID theft, and FINALLY got it cleared. Now, i put an order for a SERO plan with sprint, and guess what? Blocked it because of this.

I already have a Cingular phone, and it's working for me (pre-pay, it's expensive), and I was wondering if Cingular had anything like the Sprint SERO plan (go to www.sprint.com/sero and enter [email protected] for an e-mail for details).
