I have (I guess had now) a SonyEricsson S710a that I love. However, I accidentally took it for a dip in the hot tub over the weekend, and after it made some exciting sizzling/crackling noises it totally died. It won't turn on or anything. 😢

Fortunately, I had an old SE T637 sitting around that I could put my SIM card in for the meantime. I also have the LockLine insurance as well. Now, I know they discontinued the S710 a while ago, and now the W600 looks like it is gone too.

I only want an SE phone, and was actually contemplating getting the W800 before this happened.

So, my question is, if I wait until the W800 comes out, can I use the insurance, pay the $50 deductible, and make-up the differene bwtween what LockLine woul...

I just activated two lines of service, one with a cu500 and the other with an unlocked e70 or something like that. When activating the nokia i had to put it in as a gsm device rather than a umts device. Will this affect their ability to recieve umts data speeds?

I was the one who was paying $120/month, have been with Cingy for 5 years, never late on any payments, have four lines, and who Cingy was telling I couldn't get an upgrade on any of our four lines.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what happened. Will, a.k.a. Iselltheshitoutofphones, said he was going to 'work his magic.' Not sure if that's what did it or if Cingy finally came to its senses, but now ALL of the lines on my account are eligible for an upgrade! 😁

I appreciate all of you Cingular workers, agents, etc. who were/are working hard to help those who deserve an upgrade.

I love my prepaid service with Cingular. It comes packed with features that I did not have with my other prepaid service. I switched to Cingular yesterday and so far so good I am loving it!

This is for all who use their phones in public and love to speak LOUD during conversation.
What I love is when someone gives their number out loud to either person on the other end of the phone or yells it across the room. So what do I do. I call fron another phone that can't be traced, and tell them I will keep calling them (no cost to me) to teach them a lesson not to speak so loud next time! Yes, this may be immature, childish, rude and mean. But if you think you are so "cool" to be obnoxiously loud, you get what you deserve, a prank call.
Now I am sure you probably wouldn't be happy to hear this, so tell all your buddies to keep their voices down! Or you could be the next idiot I call.

I can see the new at&t trying to buy Rogers in Canada one day so they can provide North America plans. Then one day, there will be true global domination.

I actually read in the old AT&T Wireless forum that a while back AT&T WS announced to wallstreet that it was "shrinking customer base as a positve developement as it was loosing mostly unprofitable subscribers." Which sounds familiar, but the person that posted this made some really good points. He also says "attws has clearly declared it will not make loose leader offers to increase its customer base. attws is the most sucessfull carrier in the US not by the number of subscribers it has but because it is profitable." It makes sense to me. Everyone here is sitting here making arguments that have to do with numbers of subscribers. But, what's better?: Making some money from the "unprofitables" and then making good money from "profitables" or ...

SO--------cingular has decided to start not upgrading customers phones. heard about the over using n&w and m2m and that being a cause. Mine says "account type is ineligible" Explain this one???. The service rep really didn't have an answer ---only to say I didn't spend enough and there were many factors. He did say he could help me if I wanted to cancel my account. No kidding!

That really stinks, why is this phone ineligible for insurance?

This is killing me... two customer's this week have a new laptop and we don't have an PC Card that will fit in the Express Slot! I'm assuming Type II slots are being replaced with these, so Cingular needs to get something on the market PRONTO!
