I used this phone recently. I was blown away the data speed was incredible. I tried V-Cast and Cingular Video and MobiTV on 3g Cingular destroys it. If u live in a 3g market for Cingular? You should get this phone it is worth the price.

Hey guys, I had a guy come in with a TDMA phone that anytime he tried to make a call it would just give him a fast busy signal, I am now a Verizon rep but use to be a Cingular rep. I remember this use to be a common problem, but I can remember what the solution was to fix it. I tried *18, manually reprogrammed it, and did a hard reset (removing the battery with it on).

Anybody want to help jog my memory on what the solution is to this problem? Im having a brain fart and cant remember.

Is there any way to remove the Cingular logo painted onto the phone? I am looking at pics of the cu500 and it seems like the phone would look much better without it.

IT came about a month ago .. awesome piece . I paired it .. tested it and really liked how it sounded and the caller ID was pretty awesome

Hello, I have been lurking for a while now. I work at a Cingular Authorized store, and I spend my time catching up on forums and such between my duties and helping customers.

Today we have new pamphlets for rate plans and such. Has anyone else seen these yet? "Cingular Nation Bundled Plans" The normal old plans with media works added automatically.

Does Cingular expect this to even sell? What about the price increase on the features such as 7-7 nights and weekends? I think a lot of customers are going to be angry and will be taking it out on me.

Any thoughts?

So what is the mobile-to-mobile call area? You dont get charged for talking to other cingular phones but they have to be within a certain area? How is that determined?

I also saw something in the service contract about calerID and mobilt-to-mobile minutes. There are seperate minutes for m2m? How many, how do you know? And if callerID doesnt display then that means you are also charged for that even if it is a cingular phone.

All of these were mentioned on the website but the exact details were not easily found which was annoying.

I currently work for Verizon Wireless and am considering moving to another carrier due to disagreements between me and my employer. my question is what type of compensation (hourly average) could I expect if I applied and was employed by your company? I plan on cross-posting this thread so please don't get peeved if you see it in another forum you view. And if your curious VZW can't accommodate my desire for higher learning i.e. college with less than a month till the semester starts I'm kinda in a panic. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

How does the return policy work?

If I sign a 2yr contract and get a razr or cu500 and the 6126 FINALLY comes out within 30 days (so I return my phone) what happens?

I have to mail the phone back and pay the difference to get the 6126 I'm dying for?

Wow. So Cingular make oodles of money this last quarter. Why now are they dumping customer's who "abuse" their m2m and N&W?. (And before anyone gets on my case, not offering them any discounted phone at the end of contract is a polite way of saying 'see ya!'. )

It just seems so... ugh. I mean, obvisually their current business model is doing fine. Why mess with it?

Can you use VoIP on cell phones in the states? If so could one theoreticaly use this on a media max feature to get unlimited minutes? Just curious on peoples thoughts.

I looked at a Vanity Fair magazine today and I saw a the V3i in it. It said "First Razr with iTunes" From Cingular.

I just started working at cingular but it seems to me like almost everyone over 55yrs complains about font sizes and im thinking if there's a phone out there that we carry, whcih would allow our customers to change the font sizes

just wondering why people keep saying that excessive use of mobile to mobile and nights and weeks is "abuse" or "taking advantage" of cingular? the point of having these features is so customers can USE them. no one wants overages or to have to wait days/weeks to use their phones again cuz they ran out of minutes. if cingular wants to take away your ability to upgrade at a discount, fine, but people shouldn't act like it's wrong to use these features. it's not abuse.

Can anyone provide a link to the current mail in rebate form for phones? It doesn't seem to be on the phone lineup page on Cingular like it usually is. Hopefully it shows up sometime soon if there are any rebates available for the current phones that are offered.

I have 2 samsung phones on a family plan. they have worked pretty well the last year. 4 days ago they stopped working almost completely. I called cingular today and the rep said they are integrating their towers or something like that. he said we only have 2 towers in our area and that we are in a medium coverage area and that this integrated or upgrading could be causing the issue. he did not know how long it would take but they should go back to normal when its done. could this be true? will it really go back to normal? Thanks.

Someone on howardforums said the w300 is available at a cingular kiosk at a mall--not sure which city, they didn't specify.

Can anyone confirm this or a release date they know of?
