Miami FL

I mentioned earlier this week I was going to Miami 🤤 Loved the trip and the city, but my phones dropped some calls here and there.
The call quality down there was great, but I kept dropping call all of a sudden without any type of warning. The only explanation to this is network integration. It hasn't even started down there. 😢 I dropped calls only while driving aroung. I walked South Beach up and down the strip like a hooker on a slow night and calls were great, the only problem was while driving. Going from blue to orange towers apparently. I did notice most plp down there have Black Razrs, I guess that's the phone to have in Miami 🙄

It's a funny thing...

🤣 You know...I work for Cingular and everytime I see the Cingular "fewest dropped calls" commercial..I can't help but laugh and cuss the TV out. IT'S NOT TRUE!! That's false advertising 🤣

Telephia (courtesy of NY times)

Here's a piece of an article from NY Times (hope thats a respectable enough orginazation for evyerone 🙂 ) that seems to debunk the theory that Cingular was making it up when they stated that Telephia confirmed they had the fewest dropped calls (here's for you 85percent)

"Take Verizon Wireless. Since early 2005, the company has run ads promoting its network reliability. Some of the ads highlight the fact that about 100 of the company's engineers drive around the country making calls to compare Verizon phones with those of other carriers. Not surprisingly, Verizon has found that it has the best service.

The company insists that its tests are scrupulously impartial. "Everyone is given a fair chance to place a call and ensure that the ca...

Motorola v557 or Samsung d407?

Just wondering what the opinion of everyone is on which is a better well rounded phone for features. Price is important, since i'm looking to buy it outright. Both phones have EDGE data and Bluetooth, and are flip, so they have all that. I realize that the v557 is just about to be discontinued, but i've heard good things about it. And the d407 is brand new but I won't need the Push to Talk feature at all.

Thanks in advance.

Coprorate stores dropping the Samsung D307?

I went to my local corpoarte store and they told me that they no longer carried the Samsung D307. This was also true for the agent stores in the area. It's still listed on the website for my zip code but didn't know what the deal is because on the website you have to extend your contract, which i'm not interested in.

I'm located in Mississippi if that makes a difference.

Thanks.

Coverage check, please?

Cingular reps out there, if you could please tell me how coverage is in Waynesburg, PA and the surrounding area, it would be much appreciated. The zip is 15370.

My friend is moving out that way and is looking to switch her cell phone service.

Thanks! 🙂

am i a stupid person with a stupid question or...

I've been reading posts on here fron Cingular reps talking about going back to AT&T. I've been researching carriers and phones and have decided to go with Cingular. All this talk is now making me wonder if this is even a good time to buy a Cingular plan and phone. Am I right or am I wrong?

HELP!!! Early Termination Fee.

I am really pondering if I should go to Verizon Wireless right now. I currently have cingular and in my house I get about 1 to 2 bars in my house. Currently I cannot make a 4min phone call without dropping it. It is not the phone I have had 4 cingular phones in this house. I was wondering if I complained to cingular that they would wave the early termination fee because I cannot talk in my house. Any input you have that would help is needed

Thanks

Would anyone recommend Verizon over Cingular?

I am in the Los Angeles area and need to upgrade my phone. I want a PDA phone, ie: HTC 8125. I currently have the unlimited plan with AT&T and have been told as a loyal customer since 2001, of AT&T now Cingular , that the only way to upgrade is to lose my "Charter member unlimited plan". Which sucks considering I use approximately 2500 to 3200 minutes a month. Frustrated I am trying the Verizon XV6700 and love it. Is there any way to get the 8125 etc or any other suggestion and keep my unlimited plan? Is that what they mean by "unlocked phone". If I buy a phone I like from ebay, etc and it says unlocked can I really plug my sim card in and all the functions will work? ie: wifi, email, internet, data, wireless sync, text messages, etc. ...

How do you rack up a bill that big?

Well it seems that so called rap mogul Suge Knight only has $11.00 dollars in his checking account and no cash in his pocket. He has filled for bankruptcy and listed an $1100.00 debt to cingular. How would you rack up a bill that big without getting cut off first.

Am I just imagining this or?

Do calls and text messages tend to not go through correctly when I use my Cingular phone to call someone with a Verizon Wireless phone? hmmm

Cingular or Cellone?

Well ive never had a cell phone myself, which is hard to believe coming from a attws/cingular RM... but im torn between two choices for me and the wife. CellularOne and Cingular.
CellOne has the $50/local $100/nation unlim(same as attws charter plan)
On the other hand I know cingular has the best features, coverage, etc but if i get unlimited what do i need rollover for? If we at cingular got an affordable unlim id be sold...
So, if anyone has any good/bad opinions on cellone id like to know. I would post on cellone forum but i want a more unbias opinion.

Cingular vs verizon

I am trying to compare Cingular 8125 and the verizon u6700. I have been told that verizon has substantially faster web service. Is that true? Are there Any other factors I should consider? I am trying to buy an unlocked 8125 for I am on the unlimited plan and would like to keep it.
