when a couple walk in and say they need a pre-pay phone. my immediate thought was to sell them on a go phone. currently in my store we only have the z300 for sale and the moto is sold out. as i was doing my qualifing the male said they just need it to make scarce calls and 911 calls. i proceeded to tell him this device is perfect for that. he then said its for a woman that gets abused and it needs to be cheaper than 60 bucks because there is a chance she'll get caught with it and the phone gets broken. i told him contact the battered women shelter they house phones that make 911 calls. I am thinking of switching from T-mobile to cingular. I am wondering if any USERS can tell me what the service is like in the nyc area - manhattan, brooklyn, queens, and bronx. Is it spotty, does it work well indoors? any personal info is greatly appreciated. I will mainly be making phone calls indoors, and would like to have good coverage.

Also, let me know if your phone works well in nyc - especially if it's a Razr v3, the ericsson z520a, or the samsung x497. Thanks!

Looks like I will be switching from Alltel to Cingular sometime in June. Are the online stores like WireFly or LetsTalk.com ok to deal with?

What a nice selection of phones to be released by Cingular, the Nokia 6126 looks especially great.

I noticed there are two Pantech phones that are supposted to be coming out on Cingular, one thin bar style and a small flip (can't remember the model numbers) that are not listed on the page.

Any news on when we might see some of the models that are listed on the web site?

My plan with Verizon Is up In a few days, and I want 2 switch 2 Cingular. I went their 2 day 2 check out the phones and plans. I asked the guy when the razr v3i was coming out, he said not for awhile. But everybody Is telling me end of april/may. hey ppl...i just got my cingular phone bout 3 weeks ago after having cricket for years, i wanted cingular because of the " grate service"....well i notice that my phone makes noises here and there while im talking on the phone and with cricket i have never had that problem ...isnt cingular better than cricket? i thought..it could be the band im on to?....another thing cingular says it uses bands 800/850/1900 but quad band phones use GSM 850 / GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900..so does that mean if i get the quad band phone my phone wont make any noises while im talking on the phone....and i have a lg c1500.

i need a phone that has an mp3 player and will sync with a mac on cingular can anybody help me?

Do not get Cingular if you live in an urban town. I live in Atlanta and I drop calles left and right. And also only get 2-3 bars in my house. I have to run outside to answer a call without dropping it. I have had several phones so you cant blame it on the phone. I have a friend with T-Mobile and she has never droped a call and she live a block away from me and she only gets about 2 bars. If you go to www.tmobile.com and go to there personal coverage checker you find alot of places where the have coverage and don't. At least there honest about it and don't flaunt that they have the best coverage. I own a Sony Ericsson z520a. I love the phone, but not the service. Do you think it is worth waiting for the V3x? I just passed my point on my contract and I got my $300 downpayment back. I am considering getting a V3i. It looks really sweet. But is it worth holding out for the V3x? I know arround here the 3g network is basically nonexistant... And ive heard many complaints about the phones holding onto week 3g signals instead of just using a gsm signal. It may be different by the time the V3x comes out but I don't know. I haven't read up enough on 3g and all the benefits to it to really know if it is worth waiting. I know the V3x has a 2.0mp camera instead of a 1.2 or 1.4 whichever the v3i has. The main reason I wanted the V3i was the itunes on it. It may have it but on the motorola page for the v3x it didn...

Does anyone know when these two phones might become available in stores? Both look like nice entry level models, especially the v235 if you want a camera.

Why is Cingular picking up these phones? I see the upcoming Pantech phones to be released. (U-G-L-Y) They look like Vzw phones. Why not releasing some cool phones like these:

i've had cingular for a bout a year, and i've had alot of problems with them, especially lately, i recently called custome r care the rep told me the are in the process of merging the towers, thats why there is so much noise and static on the phones in the orlando area, my wife also has cingular she hates it , so we went to verizon to check them out, i would appreciate so advice as to what to do,i've never had verizon but i did notice they dont really offer as much as other companies in terms of minutes, early night and weekends, i wonder if there service is as good as they say.

Hey all, I posted my resume for a job opening at a mall near me, but they haven't responded. I have about 1 1/2 years exp., but no further contact besides the e-mail receipt of my application. I submitted both my resume, and through their "cool resume builder".

Anyway, I was wondering if they have a phone number I could call to see what's up with my application(s). I would like to get the job, but I would also like the common courtesy of someone telling me that I didn't get it, and why.

THE OTHER DAY I SPOKE TO A REP, I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT STATIC AND NOISE ON MY LINE, HE TOLD ME ITS BECAUSE OF THE MERGING OF THE TOWERS, I DIDNT BUY IT , BUT I'VE NOTICED SINCE YESTERDAY BOTH LINES ON MY ACCOUNT HAVE HAD FIVE BARS EVERYWHERE I GO, AND THE LINE HAS BEEN CRYSTAL CLEAR, IM SHOCKED, THE REP TOLD ME HE WAS GOING TO EMAIL THE ENGINEERS MY NUMBERS, TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO.I GUESS THEY FIXED THEM, BUT ILL GIVE IT A FEW DAYS TO REALLY SEE.......

Ok let me say this leaving a coverage area or being in a ****ty coverage area and the call ending is not a dropped call ! those are known as gaps in service . I work in a call center and we have a program that shows call process failure and 99.9999999 percent of people that call and say that there dropping calls are not .
driving through hill-jack boon-dock bfe usa and loosing signal is not dropping a call its all in the service agreement
WE DO NOT GARUNTEE SERVICE IN ALL AREAS !
