BIIIGGG mistake..

I live in NE Seattle, on a hilly slope leading down to the lake. My neighbors and I have bad cell reception, bad radio reception, and we have to use cable for TV because broadcast reception is bad and Dishes don't work in the hills and trees.

Now that my 2-year plan with Cingular has expired, I'm trying Verizon for 15 days. The Verizon salesman who signed me up told me that the LG VX8100 phone he sold me is the best one for reception so that's the one to use for my area. I have since figured out that a lot of other things he told me are not true, so I'm wondering about what he said re the phone and am looking for other opinions.

I hear that t-mobile (in the near future), falling in line with alltel, is going to add the unlimited calling to any 10 numbers from any carrier....seems like a good idea to me. Is Cingular going to offer anything like that?

I will say it first (i think) that i appologize to the entire verizon customer base and to the company itself for statements made about how they handle bluetooth...

I've been a Verizon customer for over 5 years now except for 3 months where I tempted fate and tried T mobile . service was so bad I didnt get calls in my house .. just voice mail alerts

but I'm really getting sick of the lack of phones for Verizon .. I have an ipod I dont need music on my phone .. I mainly need a good bluetooth phone .. strong signal .. and something that Txting isnt hard to do on .. like the Razr god those buttons are weird (big hands) ... i am not a cingular subscriber and i have a brand new slvr, how do i unlock it please help....

i own a w600. i've had it for a few months then the screen starts trippin out on me white's out while on the web restarts itself for no appearant reason. ok, however, i got a replacement from lockline and it worked for a few days and out of nowhere the screen again whites out an i lost two games having to re-purchase and one a cingular service rep was able to re-send. the phone continues to flash to this white screen and restart whenever i exit or am using the web, whenever i try to make a call or acess the menu after its on the screen saver, or for no damn reason at all.

this is my second replacement going on third and my past 2 months bill has been fluttered with downloads that are killing my pockets. is there any way to transfer the g...

Almost every argument made for the ATTWS/Cingular merger against the misguided ramblings of nextel18 is being used BY HIM to defend the Sprint/Nextel merger.

I used to work for startek in Regina for a couple of years and HATED IT SO MUCH. I have no idea why I kept that job for that long... anyways, I wanted to let all of you Regina people know that there is a company called CUETS that pays 14.67/hr with full benefits even for part timers. I don't work there myself, but one of my friends from Startek ended up there... It's a call centre for mastercard... just some food for thought

I am kind of a gadget junkie, all of my coworkers make fun of me because cingular gives us our demo phone yet I always purchase the ones I like (I have 12 phones). I wanted to get a v3i when we released them...but I have been reading engadgetmobile.com and it reads like we are getting a boatload of awesome phones in the next few months. A few examples include:

-Motorola Z1 "Capri" (Razr-type slider phone)
-Nokia N Series
-Blackberry 7130
-LG C500

So what does everyone think? What has everyone heard? I dont want to buy a new phone and then have all this awesome stuff come out.

regardless how many times you say so, your network isnt the best in any major city, much less like 20 of them. Fewest dropped calls? extremly doubtful. what about calls that connect, voice quality, static, one way audio, etc?

Telephia Corp. of San Francisco Is the only major "Independant" reserach agency that ever says anything good about Cingulars Network. Also odd is how two of Telephia's executives are on the Cingular Wireless board of directors.

Has anyone noticed that when they show the SLVR on TV (commercials) it seems thicker than what it actually is? Am I the only one who notices this? I have been seeing the commercials for weeks now...

ok heres the deal .. I'm 90% sure I'm leaving Verizon but I wanted to make sure that the Cingular signal is good in my area .. I have been told by several ppl that it is but I just want to get a feel for it myself

I got burned by Tmobile because there signal sux in my town

so heres the prob .. My cell # is my phone .. I have no house phone so Id be porting it over ... once I do this it final even if I leave before the 30day trial . Id have to report my number b ack to verizon and go thru the motions again

is there anyway that someone knows to "test" this out .. Can a ported number return to the previous carrier and would I still be charged the early termination by Verizon if I came back ... thats an expensive trial lol

Ive been having problems with cingular, the service hasnt been good lately, i'm on my third razr, and this one is giving me trouble, they offered to replace it with the sony ericsson w600i , im not sure what to do ,any advice would be appreciated.

ive narrowed it down to the sony i600 and the nokia 6682 . the sony is a quad band where as the nokia doesnt have GSM 900

what difference if any will this make
