I hate people who post like this but.... I need advice

I am a Verizon guy and I know little/nothing about Cingy's phones so I need some advice please.

I have a friend who needs to buy 2 camera phones for Cingy GSM service and asked me to help find good ones on eBay. I dont have a clue what is good on Cingulars network and what phones are crap. She just needs 2 camera phones w/ speaker phone that are releatively cheap to purchase outright. Not really interested in Ericsson or Moto's but anything else is fine, can anybody help me with this?

Thanks in advance

Cingular, Dell link up in wireless broadband deal

Cingular Wireless announced a deal with Dell under which purchasers of the Dell Latitude D620 and D820 laptops will have the option to outfit their machines with Cingular's $59.99 monthly BroadbandConnect service. Cingular says the pact will eliminate the need for mobile workers to rely on Wi-Fi.

NO NETWORK COVERAGE OR SEARCHING....

I need some help here! I bought my Sony Ericsson Z520a back in December '05. It's been a great phone...coverage everywhere I go! Last week my phone suddenly started SEARCHING then went to NO NETWORK COVERAGE everywhere (meaning every place that used to get 5 bars) now has zero coverage! I took the phone to Cingular...they said I had a bad SIMS card...so they gave me a new one...didn't change anything. Went back...they gave me another SIMS card; nothing. They suggested I send the phone back for an exchange...I did. I got the new Z520a and put my SIMS card in and guess what? NO NETWORK COVERAGE OR SEARCHING! Went back to Cingular...they put my SIMS card in another phone and it worked perfectly...but their SIMS card would not work in my phone! ...

Help me find the right phone

Im thinking about choosing cingular over verizon which I have now because Verizon has treated me terribly. I'd like to find the right phone for me. I have some qualifications the phone needs to have: #1 The best reception possible for rural areas, #2 Bluetooth, #3 A great quality external speaker for taking calls #4 and good battery life. I also have no need for a camera. I know this is a tall order but I would really like some good feedback. Thanx ahead of time for you help! P.S. Ive been considering the SLVR and the Sony Ericsson W600i / W550i.

Contracts

Does Cingular offer 1 year contracts if I do not want a new phone? In fact, do I need a contract at all to port a VZ number over? I already have a new V3i phone that is unlocked. I'd like to try Cingular service without getting locked into a contract.

Death

I thought there was an exclusion clause to waive the ETF if the policy holder died. Is this true?

How does it affect other lines on the account?

Specifically, my father-in-law passed away and his contract still has a few months left on it. My wife's phone is on his plan as an additional line, but the contract on it is for a longer period (it was added later than the original).

Can we get his phone cancelled without the ETF and just make her phone the primary line until the contract is up? Does she have to assume the rest of the contract, or is there a way we can cancel the whole plan without ETF? How about just splitting her off to her own contract for the remainder of the current agreement and dropping his name?

Any help is ...

Warranty and Battery Q

Hi, I bought a Nokia 6682 in January and its a good phone but the battery does not last 1 day with minimal use like 5 minute talk time.. maybe a few text messages and thats about it. Nothing extreme. I will charge it at night and the following night it will be dead. The phone has suffered no damage at all. Never been dropped so I'm assuming that theres a defect in the battery. Would Warrany Exchange replace my battery or is it only for phones?
