How long and at what cost does it take to convert one tower from EDGE or GPRS to UMTS or HSDPA?

I am eligible for an upgrade. Are the prices on the cingular.com for upgrades too? I checked my account info online and I clicked on the link to upgrade my phone and it takes me to the online store. But next to the prices it says prices are for new service. Any Cingular employees know the answer?

I am a cingular customer and I want to get an internet plan for my cell phone. I am trying to decide if I should stay with cingular and add Media Net or switch to T-Mobile and add t-zones.

t-zones appears to be way cheaper than Media Net. Are these services the same? or t-zones offers a watered-down internet???

Will Cingular give me great voice quality and no dropped calls ?

This is what I need..

I tried sprint last week and after 2 hours driving locally, i dropped more than 3 calls.

I can go like 6 months with VZW and never drop a call.

Please tell me Cingular can do this. I love the phones and I hate the VZW UI , it makes me ill looking at it..

What is the best phone with Bluetooth that is small and nice ?

Also, the new 3g Stuff, does cingular have TV and video on the new phones and can I watch TV in central NJ ?

I guess its just me, but I always hear about customers in my area NEVER getting service. Its hard to level with them because I get service everywhere. There seriously isnt a place in my area that i dont get full signal. I dont know what everyone is whining about.

Media Max $29.99 2500 text, Unlimited MMS and Media Net.

I was next to a rep who took a call from a person who wanted to add such MediaMax $29.99 package and we though he was wrong...We the rep went to the Cingular site and found such package advertised but not in the system or not available to add through online...

It appears it has been removed from site but if you go to Cingular.com and enter Media Max on the search window it will give traces that once was there.

I was looking at the Nokia E70 on Mobiledia. http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/date/q1-2006. html and it said it's supposed to be out the first quarter of 2006, so isn't that fairly soon? It looks like a good phone, Wifi, EDGE, and a QWERTY keyboard. It also says "Internet calls over WLAN offering cost effective options for local voice and data access " is that the same as UMA? http://www.mobiledia.com/phones/nokia/e70.htm l there's the direct link to the phone. Any thoughts about it? And when it might come out or be released unbranded? thanks

Has anyone heard whether or not COR reps will get 3g phones as their demos when 3g launches. I heard a thing or two about it and was just wondering if anyone can shed some light on it.

That would be awesome because I am totally phone spoiled after working for the company for two years. I get tired of phones after about a month, and when I cant get one from the company sometimes I just buy them. My market wasnt approving any demo phones for the reps because they wanted us to use our ptt handsets so I bought a slvr. My co workers think im crazy and Im wasting my money, but there was a time working here when I got a new phone every few weeks so its hard to use the same phone for more than a month or two...i get anxious and want something...

Ive been working for cingular for 2 years, but ive been using wireless phones and services for over 8 years, with three different providers (powertel/voicestream/t-mobile, sprint, and cingular). Sometimes its beyond me the kinds of problems I hear people having with their phones. Dropped calls, NEVER getting any service, the phone turns on and off by itself, yadda yadda yadda. I always think to myself "I've used about two dozen different phones with three carriers and I have never had these types of problems with any of them"

Sure, ill drop calls, sometimes I wont get service and maybe my phone might act up. But here is the difference between me and most of my customers, MY EXPECTATIONS ARE REASONABLE!!!

with cingulars answertones is there anyway to set them in "juckbox" play order. so that a tone is randomly selected for the caller to hear each different time i recieve a call?

A friend of mine has a Cingular phone, and has about 200 contacts entered on his phone. His phone is pretty beat up, so I am planning to give him my old Cingular phone which is still in great shape. Does that sim card contain all the contacts, or just primary contacts? How many contacts can fit on the sim card. And, how do you move all those contacts over to a new phone?

Just moved from Omaha to Chicago and changed out my Alltel phone for Cingular service.

I got the LG CU320 (3g) phone and service. Works great so far. I have never had a slider phone and its kind of ruff getting use to. Don't know if I like it or not because its kind of a bitch to text message with. I wish they would come out with another phone thats 3g that was a flip. Anyone know of any plans on a pda/smartphone 3g soon?
