ok...i have been with at&t for 4 years now, and i am FULLY aware that i SHOULD switch to cingula$$. keep in mind, i have NO problem doing so, IF they could at LEAST match my plan. i have my eye on the W900i or W900c from sony ericsson, and there are some being sold that are unlocked for cingula$$. so the phone is not the issue...finding a plan is.

right now i'm still running off my OLD nokia 8265 cell phone (laugh it up 🤣 , i do all the time), and if it weren't for my IDIOT of a service provider i would have gotten a new phone SOONER. my plan right now consists of 850 anytime minutes, 300 text messages, mobile 2 mobile...

Customer service, customer service, customer service. Let me clear the air here. Yes, there are some downhome idiots and incompetents in customer service. All it takes is a semi-functional brian to get hired on for a customer service position with cingular. However, most are missing what or where the true problem with cingular starts. And this is the CINGULAR TELESALES. Subscribing to service thru cingular telesales is like playing russian roulete with 3 full and 3 empty chambers. You have a 50% chance of getting screwed. Now they are not all liars to say the least, but a vast majority of them cannot be trusted. There have been incidents where they have either sent phones out to people when they did not want them, lied about promotions, lied...

Is Ma Bell coming back into focus? AT&T, which recently was reborn out of a merger between SBC Communications and AT&T, announced a $67 billion stock deal to acquire BellSouth, combining Cingular Wireless' parents into one company.

In November 2005, SBC closed its planned acquisition of AT&T Corp. and took on the AT&T name. At the time of the announcement, company chief executive Edward Whitacre announced plans to offer a wireless service under the AT&T brand.

Move to have complete ownership of wireless network comes to fruition.. My original prediction was that ATT would try to buy out BellSouth's %. They just by-passed the wireless only and went for the whole enchilada.

My ATT account has been transitioned to Cingular. I want to upgrade to Congular pland and get new phones. I go through the Premier site to migrate. I select family plan (I have family plan now) and then 2 phone. I want to keep same numbers. I enter all information on checkout page. I get an invalid account number error when I submit checkout information. I have tried but the new Cingular account number and previous ATT billing account number. Any ideas?? Should this be possible?

I have done 2 upgrades and both times I have done them at an authorized dealer not a corporate store. Both times I had to give them my old phone. I was wondering if it is required that I give them my old phone or can I keep it? I would like to keep my old phone in case my new one breaks. Do you have to turn in the old phone at a corporate store? I am in southern cali 818 area code if that helps.

Is the Pink RAZR available through Cingular through any sales channel ??

My wife wants the Pink RAZR and I have visited 2 company stores 2 times in the last 3 weeks. The first time I shopeed for it (before February 14th,) both stores said they only had 4 phones, and more would be coming the following week. Now, the story is that they have ordered 60 and may only get 40, sometime in the next 2 weeks.

Should I just call customer service and order there ??? I have 3 BLUE phones that will be migrated. I have a SLVR I bought from Ebay, I just need an ORANGE SIM card, and some basic phone for the 3rd line....

Any thoughts ??

wow this is going to confuse the shi* out of customers and probably most employees. Here is the thing the old "att" was shi* horrible decision makers and thats why they went on the market, so we cingular sbc bst paid for a name a few towers . The point is the game is still going to be cingular policies and procedures. i.e underpay their employees and in turn the customers get treated like crap ! Now alot of you will say i do my job well .....congrats to you but for the most part in cs ts telesales retail its all bs . in order.... mass-market our service get them in the stores dont lie just dont tell the whole truth ...first bill call customer service and we say sorry those are valid fees and im sorry that the dick at walmart dint do his job....

has anyone heard that cingular will no longer offer insurance later this month? i have had 20-25 people come in with a letter saying that cingular will no longer carry insurance and these are customers i have activated within the last 3 months that have filed no claims.

T-mobile basically has equivelant coverage to Cingular. If the last time you compared coverage maps was the around the same time you were packing around a Audiovox CDM-8150X, its about time to try again.

I know this may be difficult, considering Cingular's "future" coverage is similar in color to their current coverage, not to mention the intentionally small coverage map which blends the two together, appearing to cover the whole nation.

T-mobile also provides their customers with a personal coverage check which acctually allows the customer to see how the coverage will work for them instead of being blinded by a sea of orange.

So that is pretty much the knock-out punch. T-mobile has better customer service (proven), better rate pla...

Well i found this MEdia Max thing on cingular's website. https://www.cingular.com/media/text_messaging _purchase still can't believe it, they just can't go unlimited text. T-Mobile goes with $10 on all families, and they (Cingular) even revises their data plans a alittle with the new MEdia Max and still NO unlimited text. Well im happy that Cingular has the least dropped calls!

Looking at an older Motorola V180 to by real cheap, seller says His bill came from cingular, the opening screen on the phone says cingular but it has an AT&T sim in the phone. Anybody know for sure that I could put in my cingular sim and it would work?
