Why not make an America CDMA phone and an America phone?
Why don't cell makers just make a CDMA phone and a GSM phone for america. With CDMA 850/1900 and GSM 850/1900 so if there is no GSM there is CDMA to back it up? Would that mean that Cingular/Tmobile would have to merge or partner with Verizon/Sprint?thanks

3G Phones...in March?--per Phonescoop models listed
Well, i've posted similar posts in the past, but to bring this back to light since it's March, and we haven't yet seen the Samsung zx10 or LG cu320, the two UMTS phones that are due out. I remember a someone saying they're due in March, but anyone know when in the month?
The two phones are listed here on Phonescoop as Planned Availability of February 2006, and well that must have chaged, so if Rich can provide any insight, that would be great.

Motorola V180 from ATT to Cingular any need to be unlocked?
I am looking at buying a Motorola V180 that was used on the ATT network in AZ. I want to use my current cingular sim card in my current nokia 6100 to put in the V180. Will it work? Do I have to get cingular to unlock the phone or sale me a new sim or is my current sim just a plug and play proposition? We are on the cingular network in AR.

will Cingular's customers service get any better? or do they plan to leave it the way it is? And since T-Mobile got a high score on J.D. Power why won't Cingular do anything about this? Sorry im in the wrong forum but will T-Mobile add towers? Is this a rumor, that T-Mobile bought some towers from ATTWS? anyway even though t-mobile doesn't hav the best coverage, i think people are starting to switch to them because of their customer service.

Can you compile all of the proposed network enhancements by carrier in terms of dollar value. I found this article from Cingular newsroom on 2-27-06 talking about Louisiana where it mentioned the national expectations.
"Nationwide, the company spent approximately $6.5 billion on the network and will spend nearly that in 2006, bringing its overall investment since the company's 2004 acquisition of AT&T Wireless to approximately $13 billion."
So what is Sprint/Nextel, Verizon, Alltel, etc spending this year? I'm surprised that with Cingular's upgrade to 3G in 100 markets, that it will be less spent on last year's enhancements and integrations.

That Horrible Buzzing Noise
When i have my SE Z500a phone near my computer or near audio devices it makes the most annoying buzzing noise. Why does it make that noise, and is there any way to get rid of it? It's funny because my friend comes in with a Verizon phone and i hear no buzzing noise and i have my Cingular phone and it's horribly annoying. thanks for your help

4th quarter 2005 subscriber adds for Cingular.
Since this is a cingular forum i will only discuss cingular related items. let us discuss the 4th quarter 2005 subscriber adds for them.
it is as follows;
for the 4th quarter they signed a total of 1.82 million which consits of 636k postpaid, 202,000 prepaid, and 982,000 reseller.
cingular was number 3 in total net adds, last in postpaid, 3rd in prepaid and first in resellers.
(4 carriers i used)

Problem acessing Text Message Packages Online
I can not access the Text Message bundles online on cingular.com http://www.cingular.com/media/text_messaging_ purchase is anyone else experiencing this problem? Maybe just maybe they are FINALLY changing the text/IM rates. Wish they would go down but they are probley going higher. thanks

well its finally been done. after almost 2 years sevice to this company, or actually a outsource company called startek that works for cingular, they finally canned my ass. go figure its over something extremly lame. cant say that i havent expected it. for those of you who rememebr me, i posted almost a year ago quite frenquently. then the all knowing powers that was ops decided that this site was "inapropiate" and therefore banned all acsess. soon to follow....reading, drawing, talking to coworkers and anything else except staring blankly at the computer moniter waiting for the next dumbass customer who didnt know there voicemail from a garage door opener. or the lawyer who let his 14 year old daughter take the phone halfway across the coun...
