What is better? Class 6 Edge or class 10 Edge? Does anyone know what the difference is between class 6 and 10?

Nokia 6102

No, nothing about it's release date.

I find it interesting that Nokia will be changing their power plug format for the first time (for a US phone) in about 8 years.

Saw the part number for the new item on my Vendor website today.

Looking for a good carrier

Hey everyone! I am desperately looking to get away from Sprint! The only things I like about Sprint are their cellphones & their Ready Link service. I was looking at Verizon, Nextel, & Cingular. I was wondering which one of these offer the best Service and features. I am looking for PTT service, Early nights, and mobile to mobile. Most important is the ability to make phone calls!! I hear Cingular has good service so I wanted someone to help "sell" me on their service. I will post this in the other forums to see what everyone says. The reason I wanted to post it here is because I see there are a lot of cellular employees posting in here. Thanks for your time. 😁

Attention Call Center Reps....

Please do us retail stores a HUGE favor...

When a customer calls in and asks about returning a phone in their 30-day return period, don't tell them it's just OK to return the phone only. Cingular's Terms and Conditions REQUIRE that all "associated accessories" must be returned to qualify for the 30-day return. This is especially true if the customer wants to DOA that phone and get a different phone. Now of course if the customer wants to go with the same phone, we can take what's missing and use it.

I got my rear-end chewed out by a customer because a rep he spoke to out of Lubbock told him it was OK just to return the phone. I told the customer that it is in print on his contract that he must return everything with the phone unle...

MSNBC agrees. Cingular rocks!

"Europeans have it all over us when it comes to cell phones. They pay about the same price each month for their wireless services, but that’s where the similarities end. Their phones do more and Europeans do more with them -– more messaging, more use of online services and, of course, making and receiving more phone calls.

There’s a good reason for the difference -- their service is way better than ours. Through all my travels -- in major cities, on highways, on country roads and even “the middle of nowhere” -- my cell phones (I brought a few to test) always worked. They constantly received near perfect signals. My boss had a similar experience recently. Traveling through Wales -- in cities, towns and even on rural, one-lane roads -– he...

Lockline Claim

I have a motorola v400 and the earpiece volume is not working probably and the charging port is not working. My phone is out of warrenty and I have lockline 3.99 service. Last time I called they rejected my claim in march (broken antena), but I was wondering if there is anyway they can reject my problems I have with my phone now? Or, do I need to break my phone just to have these problems fixed by lockline?

How would this work?

I need some help/advice from the board. I have had Cingular service since May 2004. I was on a one-year contract that expired obviously this May. I am trying to figure out if I should sign up for a new contract. I signed up through my local Best Buy store. Since I did that when I go to do a new contract will I:

1) have to pay another connect or start fee?
2) have the option to get discounted phones?
3) only be able to do this through a Cingular store (they don't seem to have a good a deal on deals as other seemingly do)?
4) will my rollover balance be deleted at that time?

Also, I am trying to figure out what might be a good replacement phone. I have a Moto V400. I am not too keen on how many times it seems to drop call or s...

Will I be "forced" to switch?

My current AT&T contract ($39.99 650/unltd N&W and M2M) and phone (NEC525) are working just fine for me, and given a choice, I'd just as soon stick with what I've got for now. I'm sure that I'll eventually have to sign up with a Cingular contract and phone (or switch), but I'm just wondering if that'll something I'll have to deal with when my current contract expires.

Wirefly.com WARNING

On Monday I ordered two phones on a Cingular famiy plan from Wirefly (I wanted to get in the $59.99 plan before Sept 1). When ordering, I choose to call them because I wanted two different phones and the website only allowed me to get two of the same phone (poor service problem #1). However, when I called, they also told me that they also could only do it with the same phone, but that once the order was entered, I could call a "Customer Service" line and get one of the phones changed. So I went ahead and ordered the service with two v220's, which was a free-phone offer with no rebates required.

Then I called the CS number I had been given and got the second phone changed to a v551 - which the website had listed as $19.99 with no rebate...
