We just got the new Family Talk plans in today, that will take effect September 1st.

They are EXACTLY identical to Verizon's plans, with 9.99 add-a-line, except we have the Rollover 😁

I was worried about them removing rollover, but that isn't the case. The single line plans are exactly the same.

With Cingular, if you have had your phone for more than 30 days and it is not working, do they give you a brand new one, or a refurbished one?

Is anyone else kinda disappointed in the Samsung x497? Not that I was really expecting much. But I didn't think it was going to have an antenna, plus it seems that they downgraded the screen on it from the 427. The screen looks real cheap. Just wondering if I was the only one..

I have been waiting on the new Nokia 6102. With all the talk of the new Individual Rollover Plan starting Sept 1, I am concerned what I need to do.

How exactly will the new Rollover minutes be for the individual plan? Am I better off with Rollover minutes as an individual before or after September 1st? Should I quit waiting on the Nokia 6102 and go with the Motorola v551 for a better rollover plan? 😳

hey guys, i have a pretty old plan, and phone, i would like to keep the same plan but buy a new spiffier phone. I am with cingular. So is there any possibilty that i can just go to a cingular and buy a new phone but keep the same plan and just start using the new phone?

When transferring files via Blue-tooth, does it require Moto MPT, like the V220 via USB?

I thought I read in a post that someone requested a coverage check for a particular address. Is this possible? I would love to see how good the coverage is at my house. I'm planning on leaving Sprint (I hate their phones...I want to sync with my Mac and I want Bluetooth!). I was leaning towards Cingular, but I am nervous about having even worse coverage at my house.

Any idea when to expect this one to get released? Looks like Moto may have finally got the concept. Form and function.

I have an MPX220 which "roams" inside my apartment. The provider is still Cingular but it is showing roaming.

Is it roaming because it is using an AT&T tower?

I went to the Cingular website to find out how they charge for text messaging, sending photos, etc, and there is NO information on that. There is information which describes the services, but nowhere do they say how much you will pay for it, whether it is a monthly charge, or whether it is a pay-as-you-use charge.

Where can I find out so that it is in writing from a Cingular source?

We're talking high-end mobiles here. The perameters are at or above $199.99 full srp. This means the 3220 is cut off and the e317 barely squeeks in. PDA's are also excluded. Basically, phones in concideration are, by price, the e317, v551, p207, 6230, v3, and s710. Post your opinion on what is the best phone and worst phone in your opinion. Make decisions based on price, durability, reception, style, os, capabilities, or anything else a consumer would be interested in. Now's the time to vouch for your favorite phone and knock your hated phone down a notch or two.

I want to know some of the worst phones available to cingular. As far as i am aware, the v220 sucks and the v180 blows. I also hear the sony ericson z500a gives head while the lg c1300 deep throats. What other crappy phones should one avoid?

Can somebody tell me when cingular will sell the Nokia 6682 and at what price? I have asked them and it seems that know-one knows.Some have said they have not even heard of the phone 😲 . What's up with that? It is a shame to have the money to get something and not know when or where to get it.

Does anyone know off-hand what it will cost to terminate a 2 yr. contract early. I entered into a 2 yr. contract in Dec 2004.

Is the termination fee different if termination is made with less than one year left or more than one year left?

The reason I am asking is that my Cingular reception is poor and unreliable at my house (south Shreveport, LA), and I also have to drive through about a 2-3 mile "dead area" on the way to and from my work every day. I use my mobile for returning patient phone calls, and receive SMS from my answering svc while on call, so I would like something a little more reliable. My neighbor has Verizon, and it seems to outperform in the areas I mentioned.

Any help apprciated.

Anyone know when the integration will happen in Northern, VA? I still see multiple cingular networks in the area.
