Okay, I've been a customer for nearly a year now. My service has been great and I've never had any issues with Cingular thus far...up until now. About two months ago Cingular started to send text messages (from the company) about different things such as advertisements, new ringtones, contests, and such. The problem is that I never signed up to receive them.

I wasn't sure if Cingular had charged me for receiving the messages that they sent until this month. On my account I have 33 text messages listed, 8 of which I can honestly claim to be my own, 5 incoming and 3 outgoing. I don't use text messaging enough to get a plan so I'll gladly pay the .10 per message, WHEN I KNOW WHY I AM RECEIVING THE MESSAGES. The other 25 of those messag...

I have a Nokia 6230 and I'm curious on how to get mp3's on my phone. Do I need to buy a bluetooth adapter for my computer in order to send them or is there a cheaper way?

Is there truth to the rumor that Cingular is coming up with a new calling plan starting Sept 1? Does anyone know what that might be? I will be getting a new Cingular phone very soon, switching from ATT/Cingular. I would like to know what my options on calling plans are now versus any new plan coming soon/estimated date of change. I am an old Blue customer in north central NJ. Got a letter about “upgrading” to a cingular GSM phone. (the fabulous Nokia 6010 for free) Letter says on 9/3/05 my rate plan will change (they can change terms mid contract, but I can not unless I want orange plan and 2 yr agreement) to GSM America National 74.99 plan if I stick to old phone. They are dropping TDMA system obviously, but I long ago locked the S46 on GSM only. I like my old ATT plan, early nights and weekend, free incoming text, and a grand total of I think 1200 or 1300 minutes. My contract does not end until 3/06. Mmmmm, Was this phone that bad? I heard some complaints here and there, but never nothing major. Now I got an email saying "Do Not Sell Anymore, (Discontinued)" Any one know what happened?

Amazon.com has the Nokia 6102 listed for cingular but not available yet. Ive bought phones with service from them before since they are cheap and reliable. Just thought that might be a good sign if amazon.com has the phone on the site ready to go when cingular is. Maybe its closer?

So I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I've about killed the old phone (GSM Samsung) that I got with my account activation 1 year ago. I want to buy a phone unlocked but does anyone know how to figure out which GSM an area is on?
Do all 3 bands work in all areas or is there something I'm not getting. I've gone to the store, not paying that much for phones that don't work for me, and I've tried to talk to two CSReps but they um...seem befuddled why I would ask.
Anyway, any suggestions to figure out what the hell I need to do? Anyone have a handy map available to look this up for me???

My old Nokia Cingular (non SIM) phone broke, I got a Motorola V551 from a Cingular user with a SIM card. I have a second Motorola for my kid and took the SIM out and put it in the new one and it works perfect, but I want this for my phone and number from the broken phone.

So how do I go about programming the new (used) phone to work with my number?

I'm not talkin about the x497 or p207, but the d307. seriously, check it out. I got undeniable proof from cingular that the d307 is coming out and soon. i got the information from a pricing sheet for current and upcoming phones as well as discontinued phones. it costs 350 without a contract. seriously, check out the phone, its got almost everything

i have found a fool proof way to get out of any contract WITHOUT any ETF. Just call customer service and tell them that you are moving to an area that you do not get service with and by law they have to let you of the contract with out any ETF. That is how I got out of T-Mobile and on to cingular. have fun.

Hello, as I am new to this forum. I heard some news that Cingular will be releasing an Unlimited anytime calling plan around December of this year. This plan will be similar to the Charter plan from ATTWS.
