how happy are you with your rate plan? is there another provide who gives more for the same price or a better deal? why do you choose to stay with cingular?

I am not a cingular customer, but the Black RAZR is $199 with a 2-year agreement as stated on Cingular.com.

Somebody was trying to tell me that Bluetooth is no longer going to be used within the next year because a new technology will be comming out that is better than it. I dont beleive her at all, but i cant find anything anywhere about it. I know Wi-fi is comming out and i think thats what she mentioned as the replacer, but I thought Wi-Fi was more complimentary to bluetooth than about to replace it. Anybody able to help me out?

I was wondering if there's anyway to get a credit or redownload a game or ringtone once we upgrade phones. I had just purchased a game right before our phone messed up and had to upgrade. I was told we could redownload for a year after purchase, but can't seem to figure out how. They said the price on the game section would be free, but I just wanted to make sure or know if I had to do anything. Right now, they have the actual price.

I've heard rumors that Cingular will be available while underground on the Metro in DC. Is this true? If so, when? Currently Verizon is the only service provider, and I am considering switching.

All the hype these days is about 3G mobile services, like Ev-Do high speed broadband recently expanded to over 40 markets via VZW.

The last thing I heard is the Cingular is expecting to launch 15 markets to UMTS by the end of this year. If that's the case, that is doesn't even come close to competition. Any updates or news on Cingular's answer to 3G and where it's going to be available first?

And on the subject on bigger and better things, anything great coming in terms of new phones? I heard that July is going to be a great month for new releases...any specifics?

I have a cust on the line who has migrated to cingular.
she activated her new phone thu activations today,
her CINGULAR phone can make but not recieve,
her ATT can recieve, but not make calls.

any suggestions? who has to deal with this, me on blue? or cingular? or both? tech? att acct still shows active.

I called in to the activations department and they advised me that this line has definately been activated, sometimes it can take a while for it to go thru. I have never heard of this though.

Even if this was true, woudln't the AWS acct appear cancelled? the number still shows blue in poet as well. I told the cust what the agent told me to, but i was wondering if anyone else had insight on this?

I just had the CUTEST call! This kid navigated the entire IVR to get through to Blue care, just to ask me how to spell 'Phoenix'. Calls like that make my day. 🙂

I kinda feel sorry for all these customers that got put on GAIT plans. Ive been getting a lot in recently who want to upgrade or add on lines but have to change anything. A lot of them have great plans and would have to pay like $20 more a month just to get the same things. Then they think you are not telling them the truth that they have to change their plans. Is Cingular doing anything in CS with anything like retention plans for these type of customers, or do they have to switch over to the new plans no matter what? And is there any word at all about when TDMA will no longer exist? I know its comming, but no clue when.

I am in the Oklahoma City market and I use Cingular service.

Ever since I purchased service from Cingular (17 lines) it is impossible to get anyone locally on the telephone at those corp stores. When I spoke to a manager about it, she informed me that is it Cingular policy to NOT answer the phone if they have customers in the store. So I said I partially understand, BUT here's the kicker. I asked how often they checked their messages on the machine. She informed me about every 3 days. I was amazed. From owning my own cell phone business, to now being a general contractor for Dell Inc., I know how important phone calls are to a business. If I would never answer my phone and not return phone calls, I would be out of a job. I just can't imag...

I work for Cingular, well the "Former AT&T Wireless," aspect. I thought that i would let you know that your Customer Care Dept. is closed on Sundays, and only the Former AT&T Wireless customer's are able to have Customer Care available to them... So i ask when you call in, and we inform you that Cingular Customer Care is closed & you'll have to call back on Monday, please don't yell and scream at us AT&T Rep's it's not our fault.. We ask that you hold the screaming till Monday when they are open and bi*th then cause maybe something will get done about it.P.S. please don't call in and hang up when the rep picks up because it really hurts the stats. I have to buy the black Razr online to port my VZW number because I live in NC but have a NY number. It's not available online so I called 888-331-6651 and unfortunately the Cingy CS rep was of no help and said they didn't have the phones yet??? Okee Dokee, well the store I just came from has truck loads of them but I couldn't get ported at the store, they said I either needed to go online or basically drive to NY and buy it.
