NEW 1 YR CONTRACT PRICING

Instead of paying $50.00 more for your phone on a 1 year contract, customers will pay $75.00 more for a phone on a 1 year contract. Also, 1 year contract customers cannot recieve the extra $20.00 off when the sign up on a media package plan. Just thought some of you would like to know.

Blue before Orange...

Does everyone remember the good old days under blue when we had 5-10 minutes between almost every call? Ever since we've been orange, we haven't hired a single care rep (that would mean no new hires in 8 months) and at the most we have 2 1/2 minutes between calls.

Ahh the good old days...just savor the memory because it'll never happen again.

Newly proposed ESCALATION FEE

This was posted by Tail in the Cingular/AT&T forum:

Tail said:
Here is the end-all be-all de-escalation tactic. If a customer wishes to escalate we advise them there is a fee (could be $10, $25, etc.) to escalate this issue to a supervisor/manager. If the sup sides with the customer at the end of the dispute the fee is credited back. If the sup sides with the rep, the fee of course would stand. Then if the customer wishes to escalate yet again past the sup, the fee would increase each time for how high the issue gets. (Example being the issue escalating to the Office of the President being a charge of $10,000)

Not only that, but the individual from management that takes the call would get a small percentage of the

$.20 credit

I had a customer call in about an hour ago who stated she should be credited for 2 text messages that were billed to her account. One text message was sent in february, and the other in April. I couldn't believe she was actually wasting her time calling in about $.20. When I told her she was responsible for all legitimate charges on her invoice, she asked me "well who can I talk to that will give me the credit?" I told her noone would be able to credit these charges for her. At one point I almost gave her the credit just to shut her up. Then I remembered how pampered and spoiled AWE has made it's customers over all these years. Instead, I decided to stop the insanity and not provide her the $.20 credit. It is just amazing to me that s...

GoPhone Online Deal question...

I ordered a Sony Erricson t237 online about two months ago.. It was 30$ but now i see they have a samgun c207 on there for 30$ also, i was wondering if i could order it without purchasing a plan for that price... Like will it charge my credit card if i order that plan but do not activate it for a new number? can i just insert my SIm Card from my old phone without it charging me for two plans? Just want the phone for 30$ Do not want an extra plan.. I can just insert my SIM card right?

Any Credit & Activations reps here??

if so i have a question for ya...

we deal with several customers that need an upgrade approved early for whatever reasons. so we contact our agent manager and basically relay the story and if he approves it he notes the account "per protocol escalation"

we call into C&A to do the upgrade and they say "no we can't do it no matter what the acct notes say. if the button says 'no' then we can't do it"

what truth is there to this?

heres a new one for the records

I just activated a Nokia 2260 for the customer. Thats all well and good, but here is the kicker of the thing. I finnish going through the VM programming steps with the customer and they tell me that they do not know what the VM password is. Ok no prob I'll just reset it. Go into the system and go to reset it and they don't have profile. Go to add it and it has a charge to it. Advise them of it and advise them that they prolly don't need it becuase they haven't used it in 5 years. Then the customer informs me that they haven't used the VM in 5 years becuase they have not activated the phone in 5 years. 😳 Checked the usuage over the last 6 months. Not a minute used. 5 years at $25/month. and never once used the service. The best p...

the reason behind poor customer service

this is a true reason why cingular is rated poorly in customer service (and it comes from the orange side)
i had a guy used to have att wireless, and than it swithched over to cingular he had a crdt balanceo n his acct and appearnty a fwe mnths later find out that he has an ETF billed to him, now of course att had its digital service and gsm service, the "very smart rep" 9 note sarcasm) decides since this customer has been bounced around from rep to rep.. rep decides " lets cold tranfer" even though i dont know if he is going to the right place

why do you8 people do this... WAR TRANFER it isnt hard and dont try telling me the phone isnt capable and if ya dont know how "get training" i am ick of having a custmer "legitimately" yell at ...

laptop and phone compatibility ?

I want to set up my laptop with a cell phone so I can send and receive email and faxes ( laptop has a fax program installed ) when out in the middle of a wildland fire camp with no landline phone service available.

I have looked at several phones and I think the Motorola A845 or the Nokia 6230i are the best choices for this.

Does anyone have first hand experience with either of these phones connected to a laptop ?

I know both phones are ok for using without a laptop, but it is critical to use a laptop in my situation because I need to receive faxes and print them out on my portable printer.

I can't do that from the phone... at least I don't think I can ... can I ?

Please email any replies to me as I likely will be on the road...
