Legacy Blue Reps...Do You Follow PAR Now???

I used to be a blue rep before we were converted orange. For those of you blue reps still taking strictly blue calls, are you under the PAR system yet? Do you like having transfers, availability, repeat calls, short calls and handle time make you or break you each and every day? AND NOW THEY THREATEN CORRECTIVE ACTION TO THOSE WHO DON'T MEET!!!

Good thing I've got my stats in order...but it ultimately takes away from the quality of service we provide our customers. Having to worry about these metrics takes away from the customer focus in my opinion.

Cingular Dropping OGO!

So, there this news blip:

"Cingular Wireless Plans to Launch Ogo Internationally

Cingular Wireless plans to target markets outside of the U.S. with the Ogo, its BlackBerry-like wireless messaging device. The company recently reported that due to lack of interest in the product it will end sales of the device in the U.S. However, according to a CNet News report, the device will be for sale in countries outside of the U.S., while Cingular Wireless re-evaluates another take at the U.S. market."

So, does anyone remember seeing the OGO advertised ANYWHERE since the merger? Perhaps that's why there was so little interest. But silly me, some guy making half a 'mil must have thought that one out. My guess is that the "unlimited text" plan s...

Want to change phones... how?

So I've been a customer now for a few months, and in that time I've really grown to dislike my S710 phone, things like the sloooooow menus, the price drop 10 days after I could have returned it, the reception, people claim I am breaking up when I full full signal, etc.

So because I think I am stuck with this phone (right?) what are my options? Can I buy a phone on ebay (used, or not requiring contract) and plug in my SIM? I am looking at either the Razr or the V551 at this point. I am quite sure Cingular isnt going to help me on this right? If the SIM card can be swapped, maybe just use 2 phones, the s710 when I want a neat gadget with me, or a Rzar/V551 when I need better reception, or to appear more 'business like'? Just wondering ...

You know where the door is..........

This goes out to all of the reps that work for blue and orange. Please stop bitching and whining about your jobs. You don't have to work here, I'll huy you the classifieds so that you can find a new job, you are not making yours or anybody else job easy by complaining. There are a lot harder and less paying jobs out there. You should consider your self lucky to have a job at all. But with such negative attitude that may soon change. So please try to think about some positive things and do your job.

Losing my job part four- There will only be five parts.

I am an Orange rep in Schaumburg call center for cingular wireless. There is only a few of us left and they are not hiring anymore. I keep hearing from sources that on Firday cingular will announce that customer service reps in Scahumburg are surplussed. My supervisor in a meeting said that we should all have a back up plan. Most of the managers are moving to new positions in the company. Most managers either or going down with the ship or have already jumped ship. Has anybody heard anything? Does anybody have any information? Dang

off topic

I posted this in the Canadian Forum but I didn't get a reply- this is non - cingular related, but I know alot of reps here are from canada-

I work for a US providor, but I live in Canada with ROGERS as my service provider. I started service almost 6 months ago and signed a 3 yr contract. The deals here are not even close to what we offer in the US, but I realize that is due to the fact there are way less cell subscribers in Canada than the US. My question is, How long until I can upgrade my phone with Rogers? I got a v220 and it is crap. I want a new phone, not free, but not $300 etc. Does anyone know how long I have to wait for an upgrade? Do I have to wait out my entire contract? Also, does anyone know what the early termination f...

It FINALLY Happened.

You will not believe this but it finally happened. Now I know you've all had calls where a customer states that "I never made that call thats Impossible. Now let me AXE you a question what would you do if you got this bill?"
Well the customer was right. All those international calls that she said she didn't make well she didn't make them. Siebel & WebAxe shows one IMSI, Atlys shows the other. It just goes to show that life is full of surprises.

Cingular - Microsoft Employee Discount

Anyone know if Microsoft employees have a discount code available to them. If so do you know the code and the discount? My buddy works for them in WA and gets 20% off with Verizon but would prefer to stay with Cingular.

Thanks

Data Transfer question

Ok, so, yesterday, I noticed this little icon next to my signal strength disappeared. I think it has to do with data transfer because when I added that to my account, the icon turned on. I called CS and the rep told me that the phone turns that feature on and off as needed. I have had this phone (Motorola V400) for about a year and have always seen that icon on there. I tried accessing the internet, and of course, it didn't turn on.

Well, my mom upgraded and got a V551 (got it in yesterday also) and on hers it has an E (for edge, I'm assuming). Well, today, it's missing too, along with my icon. I called and asked, and the guy went on and on about how atmospheric conditions contribute to signal strength and there's no way there's a...

SE s710a

I was just informed by a Cingular CSR that the S710a is not a Cingular phone.

Was this phone not released in certain markets? I mentioned the whole Star Wars campaign/ads and he had no idea what I was talking about.

Nokia 3595 question

I was talkin to a cingular customer service person a few days ago. I told him about my problem I'm having with gettin disconnected all the time and very low signal, but every once in a while I get full signal for a little bit. He gave me some suggestions such as turn the phone off and on, and remove the battery. He also mentioned something about going into the settings menu and going to network services and manually selecting a tower. I told him on my nokia 3595 the menu he is talking about under network service has been blocked out of my phone and i can't get to them. He mentioned something about if I had a phone with a different version of software I could change this and it would help me. Can someone please tell me how I could do th...
