Motorola A630

Anyone know if Cingular is going to get this phone?

Currently offered by T-Mobile. Would an unlocked version work with Cingular?

Thanx for the help peeps 😁

Voice mail issues

I have a friend of mine who has a GSM phone and has been having some voice mail problems. The problem is for some reason about every week or two his voice mail quits answering and instead plays a message that says the user is not available. Customer service is called and the problem is fixed then in a week or two the problem comes up again. Any ideas or suggestions?

REPS HELP!!!!!! PLEASE

I'm a blue rep and i recieved a call from an Orange cust that I can't even pull up the account.

I'm speaking with an orange end user who wants to change the financial responsibility to the company (telecom manager on the line as well) normally this is a fairly easy procedure on blue side but I've contacted every cingular department there is, beuc, care, NBS, NBO, even orange rez and my rez, no one knows how it's done or can give me any info- i've been transferred to every where and I can't even take ownership of this call as I can't pull up the account, I will not cold transfer the cust at this point as I'm in way over my head. Anyone know what to do? this customer is frustrated and I'm going to have a nervous breakdown, we've been trying...

Firmware updates

I was wondering how good Cingular is about releasing new firmware versions for phones they use. I have an s710a, and I was reading that the Rogers version of the phone has a newer version of the firmware than Cingular is using (supposedly speeds things up a bit and improves signal strength)... so, if there's no word about this one specifically, how do they normally treat new firmwares?

New Handsets and PTT

Through my good friend Jon(Texaswireless), I was able to get next months agent handset pricing a little early. For you agents out there here is the jist of things:

New Handsets

Sku 63982 - Black V3 - Launch date early July
SKu 63985 - LG C1500 - Launch date end of month
SKU 63986 - LG C2000 - Launch date the same as the other LG

Nokia 6102 - SKU TBD, launch date the end of this month.

These phones are all PTT (minus the RAZR) handsets. For those of you in the know, is PTT a feature that you add to a customers account, or will there be a seperate rate plan with it included?

Any one have any pictures of the new LG phones??? Rich?

End of life

LG 1300i and the Samsung P777. It didn't take long for the Samsung to go away!!...

Who makes the pricing decisions?

Okay, I agree that there should be no free phones in the world, but why did the prices on the phones go up?

Who came up with these TERRIBLE, NON-COMPETITIVE family plans?

Why don't we do something to compete with unlimited IN pictures/text? Woohoo, we have ROLLOVER, BFD. We have ALLOVER (which isn't that great around here). We have EDGE (VZW has or will have soon EV-DO here soon).

How are we being competitive? Our phones cost more, our plans cost more, our features cost more and our coverage area is smaller.

Why can't they all be like him?

I just a call from the perfect customer. He had gone over his min and wanted to know if a certain promo had been added. It had and he went over anyways. I explained it to him and he understood and lived with it. He wasn't upset and generally speaking he was a nice guy. A pleasure to work with. Heres the kicker though i offered him 30 CAM, becuase I really did not feel like another billing fight (this was very early on in the call, just after i informed him that the online track had delays and usually delayed for up a couple of days). He declined them syaing they were not nessary, as he understood the problem and would be more carewful in the future. He even told me that he did not want "something of nothing!" This guy is the best cu...

sure to get a lot of responses

alright, so i get a call trans'd to me. (tech) guy is seriously p.o'ed. of course he was trans'd cold (no intro from csr). I can't use my phone in certain areas. (cust is on cell) checked areas on map. NO COVERAGE!! not just no cingular coverage. no coverage period. why in the world was this trans'd to me? if the cust wants to complain because of no coverage send him to managment, if he wants to term send him to save. don't send him to tech. we can't make a tower appear out of no where.

A message for those unhappy with working for Cingular

I thought I should post this for my fellow employees. This is excerpt of a letter from Kathy Dowling (Senior VP of Customer Service, the woman from the videos, for those who don't know) that will be sent to all Cingular employees in the near future. With recent posts such as "Employess need to quit B*TCHING!!!!!" and "Quit your whinings...", I thought this would fit right in. Listen to what Kathy has to say, she makes a point:

It is saddening to see that so many Cingular employees are unhappy with their jobs. Cingular Wireless has worked tirelessly to create a happy-happy-joy-joy working environment to help maintain employee morale and keep money coming into our pockets. A happy employee is a working employee, and Daddy Stan cant pay for ...

"Not a working number" error

Hey, I'm currently trying to assist a customer with an issue they're having, every time you call their wireless number, you get an error message that states (in a female voice): "This number is not a working number. Message 3. PHL8."

Now, I'm inclined to think that this may be a routing issue with a landline in the area. I know it's not an issue with the phone, as this is the thrid device on the acct. We've checked snooper, resent ota, updated pilot numbers, checked for hangups from their blue migration, nothing seems to be the issue. Who out there has any other ideas about what we can try?
