Cingular? Loves It!!!

i love cingular. its my favorite cell phone company and i wouldnt trade it for anything in the world.

in the past i've had pre/post paid att and prepaid sprint, but i've had cingular since the original matrix came out, remember that matrix nokia slide phone? like the 7160 or something? i remember getting that from cingular. and i've been pleased ever since

cingular doesnt have the best rates (tmobile does by a long shot) but thats ok, cingular has more bars in most places...Cingular has the coolest looking website lol its very appealing and user-friendly.

they also get all the coolest phones. and in my opinion has a better selection than most. It gives out better media content than other carriers i think.

Outgoing Server?

Does anybody know what Cingular's outgoing mail server is?

I used to use photo.mycingular.com but it hasn't been working consistantly. Sometimes it'll go through, sometimes not. Help? Anyone? Thanks in advance!

Which phone would be a good upgrade for Nokia 3120? Samsung E317 or LG1400? If none of these are good please tell me one that would be (Flip phone wise) a good choice. â˜šī¸ My phone is dying a slow painful death so I want to use this opportunity to get a nice priced flip phone. 😲

Cingular out in chicago and rest of illinois!!!!

today Cingular service was completely out in Chicago and the rest of the Illinois region for hours... thats right everybody HOURS!!!!!!!

Hows that for raising the bar? This should be a sign for everyone with this horrific service GET OUT NOW!!!!!!! I wish everyone here would try Verizon for just a week you would all leave Cingular guaranteed, if you didn't your next appointment would be to a psyhcologist...

Cingular has been getting more complaints per million than any other carrier in the country! Are there any more signs you people need to see or are you all just that brainwashed by old ma bell?? Here's a question...

If you didn't receive a bill for three months would you just not call in and not put anypayment towards the account? I may be crazy but if I didn't receive a bill for three months I might call in to CS and have them atleast give me a balance to pay.

Fast Forward question

Does anybody know if the Fast Forward service will work with the Voice Over Internet services provided by such companies as Vonage? I'm thinking of picking up the VoIP service in a couple months, but need to know if Fast Forward will work with it. The Cingular CSR's I've spoken to don't seem to know, or even to have a consistent answer.

To potential customers - why buy in a store vs. online

Ok, so as I have previously posted I decided to buy a phone for my wife's retail service online. I wanted to see if the process would go smoothly or if I would run into issues like so many here experience.

I have been eligible for upgrade for quite a while, and the little "upgrade eligible" link was available when accessing my account online. I was waiting for the right deal to come along and found it late April when the Z500a was free after rebate. It also had the Star Wars stuff included. Went to upgrade, no link. Called customer care and was told I was indeed eligible but I needed to speak with the "retention department" in order to complete the order and get the online special price.

Family Plan Question

I am currently a subscriber to the 84.99 /month family plan with 2 additional lines @ 9.99 per line, however, I have heard that Cingular is going to introduce new Family Rate plans. If my wife decides to switch to Cingular, currently on US Cellular, after the new plans go active will I still be able to add a line for 9.99 per month, or will the plan have to be restructured. Also, does anyone have the pricing for the new packages in-between 1000-2000 minutes a month?

Ok, here's the senario. He calls up saying something like the 2 key won't work on his phone. Or he wants to get transferred to this store and he has the number. The number is a 213 area code, don't have the whole thing right now. It's really something called the back door sex hot line. đŸ˜ŗ

Atleast everyone here has gotten him. We have called the number on the caller id back. He is in a nursing home or something like that.

because my KIDS GOTTA EAT!

besides, we are not all incompetent, deceptive, fools.
we go through alot as well. when u spend 30minutes with a customer, sell a plan, pick a phone, get the line set up, verify the shipping address, and even though the ivr says you have to have a major credit card or check debit card, and you ask when the cust comes on the line and they say yes i have one. finally ur like "so what type of credit card will u be using?" they say "oh, i dont have a credit card!".... ORDER CANCELED!

or when u say an addt'l line is $19.99 on the 450 ft plan, then u get to the recap and the cust says "oh i thought it was $9.99 for add a line? well i have to call u back cause i need to speak with my husband!" đŸ‘ŋ its like;...

Calling All Cingular Sales, CS, Associates etc.....

K so I work for a indirect exclusive agent in northern cali, and it seems to me the last month or so, my store has been overloaded with customers complaining about issue after issue with voicemail,text,dropped calls, data services(laptop connect, PD connect) etc etc. My phone has been acting really strange as well exhibiting some of the same problems as my customers. CS has reported outages causing these issues. Then yes there have ben outages, but are they being fixed? It seems the problems go away and come right back within a few days! WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!? These customers are driving me insane! Anyone else been experienceing this? And its not just LGC1300 customers(lol we all know this is a ****ty phone, but hey ppl love it cuz its so cut...

N E one been screwed over by warranty xchange?

i did a warranty xchg on a mot rzr v3. i received the replacement phone and sent back the defective equip. about 2 billing cycles after i returned the defective phone i noticed a $550 charge on my bill. now for 3weeks all anyone can tell me is that the phone that was defective is beyond repair! no details available. its crazy because i have to sit here and tell customers how great our return policy and warranty exchange program is, all the while i know the deal! 🤭 has ne one had similar exp??? any sugestions??

I've been reading the comments made here lately, and its amazing how many armchair lawyers the carriers have, if they spent half the time they do attempting to " practice contract law" in to doing thier job, ie. helping customers,perhaps there would be less complaints from customers.

If you are in CS , it's your job, you chose it no one forced you, if you don't like it , and you know its pitfalls , leave. Customers deserve what they were promised or told, or lead to believe was true, and the old addage is right, the customer is always right, even when wrong. As a rep or sup you don't hold supreme power, and there is always someone who can override your decisions.
