If I am one year into a two year conntract, can I get any kind of a discount on a phone? may if I renew a new two year?

Does cingular have an upgrade program that gives returning customers new phones for cheep every year or so?

Here's my story:
I'm an att cust who goes to college almost 4 hours away from my hometown. Although the school is in the same state it is in a different area code. Initially, I went into my local (at school) cingular store to perform the migration but was told they could not do it for me because my number was in a different market. I called customer service to do a migration over the phone but was informed that they would not ship my phone to an address that was in a different area from my home market. They told me to go to the store and do it. After i informed them that i had already tried that and that they couldn't get the information the rep said the store was mistaken and could do it "she could see it on her computer." I hear Cingular is launching a 3G service is this true....and if so, what exactly is 3G is it GSM or CDMA? Or neither? 😕

I ordered a phone online (go-phone) for 29.. Sony Ericsson T237. They have free shipping right? So i thought i would give cingular a try. Well the tax came to 10.85$ Come on now. They much include the shipping charges in the tax or something lets face it. Tax here is california is 8 cents per dollar. LOL oh well im excited to be switching to cingular. WOOT 😎

I am currently with Metro PCS and I'm getting tired of the crappy service and mess ups they give me.

I wanted to know about the towers. If i get a go-phone will i be able to access ATT and Cingular towers? Is that the way it works with Regular Plans? So say if there was 1 cingular tower in your area before the Merge then they bought out ATT. Will i be able to use the Att tower for like more signal? Or will my phone only favor one or will it switch between the two?

Here's one for you-
I'm in the middle of my plan month right now and do not currently have a text messaging package. Therefore, text messages are $.10/message. I've been using them a considerable amount this month and am considering adding a text message package, but am wondering how it will work. If I do add this, will it count the ones that I've been sending this month and subtract that from the number of messages in the package? I know changing rate plans works that way (you have a 300 min plan but use 500 mins, change to a 600min plan mid month and now have 100 mins left). Can anyone provide clarification on this? Thanks!

I was hoping someone might know, what company gets the greatest employee discount? My cousin works for Safeway and usually gets about 50% off and I work for Ameriquest? He said he would help me get a phone if it would be cheaper. What other companies get discounts? Is there a certain list telling how much for each company?
