Man sets texting record

Not that the guy has too much time on his hands or anything, but Deepak Sharma of Ludhiana, India, has gotten his name registered in the Guinness Book of World Records for sending 182,689 text messages a month, notes gizmo hub Engadget.

That would be, oh, something in the neighborhood of 6,000 messages a day, 253 an hour, 4.2 a minute or a new one every 14 seconds. Which leaves Sharma just enough time get in a quick wrist exercise every 12 hours or so.

Sharma aims to increase his messages to 300,000 in the coming month, according to Web News India, which notes that Sharma ...

Mystery shop question

Hi guys, this is for Cingular and Cingular agent sales reps only.

Does anyone know the EXACT minimum acceptable score for a Mystery Shop? I've heard both 80% and 85% and I'm a little confused. I work for an agent and we just got mystery shopped about a week ago. I was the rep that got shopped (surprise I was the only one here) and I scored an 87%. (Granted the f-in shopper wrote down that I didn't do some things that I KNOW I did, but still)

Well from what I hear that's an acceptable score, but now I'm getting written up for it being too low!!! WTF?

Can anyone tell me the minimum score so I can make my next employer understand why I left this place?

Question for CSRs

Im building a home in Myrtle Beach with my girlfriend and she has Suncom. She wants to hook up and LNP over to Cingular.

The question is can I add her on a family talk plan even though I have a 702 area code and she is 483? IF not I would have to port over to Suncom. She needs to keep her number as she does her business on the phone. Its not as important to me to keep mine.

What are the options? She does not mind paying the ETF fee as we would have mobile to mobile anyway with residances in Las VEgas and Myrtle BEach the savings would more than make up for the ETF fee. I am month to month and do not want to sign a contract to do this. Otherwise she will have to get a seperate Cingular line and sign for a year.

Samsung P777 insurable?

I saw a thread in regards to certain phones that Cingulars insurance company will not insure. Is the P777 one of those? Anyone? 😎

Features not showing on website

Given the rocky start I had in getting service setup with Cingular, I'm a bit paranoid about what is actually "on record" as being setup for me. I went to the website, logged in, and viewed the account information for my plan. We are on the "1100 minute Family Time" plan as of April 27th. I've noticed two features missing from the plan and I'm not sure if I should be concerned or if it's normal that these don't show on the web. The features are Unlimited Mobile to Mobile and a 50 message SMS plan for one of the phones. Neither of these show up under the "Current Features" and they both show up under the "Available Features" with prices for each. Is this normal?

Seems odd to not list the purchased feature (my 50 count SMS) and the in...

So i just want to brag a little...

When I activated service with AT&T, I had to put down a $200 deposit. When I migrated to Cingular, my final bill with AT&T was $99.54. The deposit paid that final bill & generated a credit of $100.46. They finally applied the remaing credit balance to my Cingular account. My monthly charge is usually around $125. My bill this month is $23.24 😁

Has anyone heard.........

I heard that congress is going to pass a law that will let phone solicitors to call you on your cell phone. I find this very hard to believe, since unlike a land line it will use some of your minutes and there for cost you money for these call that you did not want anyway. If this is true I will give up my cell phone. How does everybody else feel about this
