How do you all like the V551?

I was thinking of going the E317 route but after doing some talking and looking it looks like the V551 might be a better idea. My local store has the V551 for $99 after rebate, and $129.99 if I get the wireless headset. Witch seems nice compared to the E317 deal. I am just wondering how are you all liking this phone so far? I have seen some good reveiws for it on the site, but most seem to be when they were first bought.

Question on upgrading to cingular?????

I was wondering if anybody knows if you have the At&t contract that doesn't expire until next year DEC and you want to switch over to cingular. To get a new phone or to be on one of their calling plans would you have to pay the full purchase price of the phone? or would you get treated like a new customer with a discount price? Also would you even be charged an early termination fee if I wanted to sign up with an cingular family plan??

It's nice when I try and go that extra mile and get yelled at for it.

I just got off a call with a "friendly" customer who thought it would be appropriate to scream and yell at me because when answering what the ETF is I started a sentence instead of simply saying $175. 🙄

$10 says she'll call in sometime in the future yelling and screaming because she wasn't told something... 🤣

SE S710a and Lock/Line Insurance

Already posted on S710a Forum, but didn't get the response I was looking for...

I'm sure no one has any concrete answers, but is it safe to assume that insurance from Lockline (Cingular) will not be available for this phone. I'm only making this assumption because this is an expensive phone like the Moto RAZR V3, and correct me if I'm wrong, but Lockline will not insure the RAZR. If anyone has any info on this matter, I'd like to hear your thoughts. There is no way I'll allow myself to purchase this phone if it will cost me full price to replace. I'm too irresponsible when it comes to mobile phones.

V620 on Cingular's network

It seems to me that Moto have release a ton of phones that are experiencing a ton of problems. If you read reviews all around the internet on the v620, it seems to be the only one not experiencing much of the same problems. In fact, it seems that the v551 is pretty damn close to it. And that is probably why the v620 is not being or doesn't appear will ever be offered by Cingular. Why would they release a phone that is virtually identical in features to the v551? Personally, I like the color and the battery life better on the v620, but if Cingular do not offer it, you can't insure it or refer to them for help with it. As much as I love the v620, unless it comes directly through Cingular, I'd have to say stay with the v551

V620 battery in the v551?

Anyone know if the outstanding battery in the v620 that lasts 7.5 talk/263 standby hours to the 3.75 talk/225 standby hours of the v551 can be used in the v551? Or is it primarily the technology in the phone that makes the difference. If I buy the v551, I'd be willing to get a hold of a v620 battery to enjoy that much of an extended battery life. Thanks!!

BluetoOrange22

Does anyone else have as much fun as I do following BluetoOrange22 around the rest of the carrier's boards? Here's some of my favorite gems:

From Nextel:

"To summarize Nextel18's post:
Cut, Paste blah blah blah Copy, Paste blah blah blah Cut, Copy & Paste blah blah....
What a loser."

"Is all it's good for is the irritating-as-hell walkie talkie that interrupts my dinners, movies, and lets me hear every possible part of your conversations? Its always like, "HEY EVERYBODY!!! I'M NOW USING MY WALKIE TALKIE!!! TUNE IN TO EVERYTHING I HAVE TO SAY!!!". Thank God for Mobile to Mobile; hopefully this hill-billy movement will hurry up and over-flood itself. (Or wait....is that whats happening already?)"

From Sprint:

Help yourself

I work in cingular customer service and I need to let all the customers kow that they need to help themselves. Customers need to get educated on their service and service provider. you need to know what your plan includes and what it does not inlcude. As a customer it is your reponsibility to educate yourself. all of the cell phone compaines have websites and all of the information is at your fingertips as a customer. GET EDUCATED ABOUT YOUR SERVICE AND THEIR WILL EB VERY VERY FEW SURPRIZES!
