MOTO V551

i have a motorola v551 that i bought at a company store. i wanted to take it back to get the exchange because of the white screen problem. but there is a scratch on the metal looking plastic part. it got there due to my hydrofoam case. the little belt clip part must be cutting thru the fabric somehow. but would they still honor the exchange even if everything else is in normal condition?

Moto V551 & EDGE

Currently the phone im using is the V551.

Is the V551 the only phone that has EDGE. What's everyone's view on the MPx220, is it a good phone bad phone?

I like my Moto V551, but seems as though the flip is getting loose. Hadnt been dropped or anything, just feels weird like the flap can slide either left or right when opening and closing.

Just wondering what other phones are good right now. EDGE is not necessarily important but guess it would be good to have in the future.

Im still within my 30 day return timeframe, bought the Moto V551 straight out at $249.99.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

best flip phone by cingular, under $200

I am thinking of leaving Nextel and going over to cingular. I live a flip phone and I want to stay under $200 for one. What I am wondering what is the best phone out there in this price line. I am going to switch over the last week in December. I am leaning more for the e317.

Thanks

2 more phones available now

Just got 2 new phones in store today -

SE Z500:
pretty nice, no BT, but really nice 3d display, and nice "solid feeling" phone. no annoying joystick like the T637.

Mpx220:
Was available at Best Buy, but now it's in "our" stores.

phone issue

Hi, I have an At&t phone and it is not functioning right (Lg L1150) and I was going to call customer service and see what my options are for the same model or any other options. My question is; Since the merger is complete, do i have to get a cingular phone? or will they send me an at&t phone?

Motorola vs. Sony Ericsson

I have recently upgraded from AT&T's service to Cingular and chose the Motorola v551, the best of what was available at the time in my opinion. I've had a Sony Ericsson T637 before, but was very disappointed with the "buggy" operating system that shut the phone off quite often and poor voice quality.

We all know, one is not better than the other, but there are some differences, no doubt. What's everyone's comparison of Motorola and Sony Ericsson?

Remember, when Cingular launches the new UMTS-WCDMA network in the fourth quarter of 2005, they chose three manufacterers for the first UMTS-enabled phones from Cingular, the companies awarded were Motorola, LG, and Nokia. We did not see Sony Ericsson though, but that might not make a diffe...

moto contest

hey-
anyone who had participated in the v400, razr incentives this year... moto has an even better one.
It started oct 11th, but runs through too jan 7th.
If you can backtrack your sales, you should have no problem winning.

there are four tiers, first wins you a phone.
A630, V551 or Mpx220.

second tier is phone + bluetooth headset
third is phone + headset+ bluetooth speaker
fourth is phone + headset +speaker and a moto pro install kit for car, bluetooth.

We found out about it the other day and everyone at my store won all levels.
Also they have CDMA prizes and T mobile prizes, i guess they have all carriers involved.
The website is allpromoto.com

everyone who works in this industry deserves any extra incentives, good luc...

MobiTV live streaming television

Cingular's MEdia net is advertising their MobiTV service under the "What's Hot" section. This service is only available on the phones that support streaming multimedia.

Does anyone have MobiTV on their Cingular phone? When I had RealPlayer streaming on the Nokia 6620 when I was with AT&T, it was only like 2 or 3 minute clips, not actual television...is MobiTV actual live continuous TV?

VT / NH Coverage

Hi all,
How is Cingular's phone coverage (not data) in the southern half of VT & NH?
I've heard and gotten different responses. Can a rep in the respective areas (or someone familiar with the region) comment?
Thanks very much! Cliff

Cingular Coverage Area...

Hi all, first post here, so forgive me if I've done anything wrong 🤭

Couple questions about Cingular;

1. Is the coverage map available on Cingular website? Didn't see it on there.
2. Is there any info as to when Cingular will have service in a certain area? (My Zipcode: 24060)
3. Shouldn't Cingular have coverage in my area as AT&T NextGen GSM has coverage?

Thanks for all the replies! Cheers!

How do you carry your razr?

Is it just me or should a phone this sharp come with some kind of sheath? (pun intended)

Right now, I'm carrying it around in my pocket etc. but would like a nice leather pouch or something with a belt clip.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Help....What do I do?

Started service with Cingular on Nov. 11th. So about 3 days shy of a full month. Enjoying the service and the coverage. Got the 850 Nation plan for $59.99 with MEdia Works package for $19.99. I expected my 1st bill to be expensive but not as expensive as it was when I checked it last nite. First bill was $276.78 😲

Called customer care this morning after looking over my 57-page long bill. The rep and I both noticed that I had been charged 10 cents for every text message and instant message that I had either sent or received since the start of my service. Plus the rep noticed that I already had the MEdia Works $19.99 package on my plan. The rep and I were both unsure as to how this happened. Was put on hold for her to confer with her ma...

Cingular "Provider Code" for unlocking Nokia 6230

Hi all,

I'm having trouble finding a correct unlock code for my Nokia 6230 on Cingular in Boston, MA. I think the problem may be related to the provider code I was using at first... Details are as follows:

PHONE = Nokia 6230
IMEI = 353372001838321
CARRIER = Cingular Wireless (Boston, MA, USA)
PROVIDER CODE / MCC-MNC = 31041000 (...or is it *really* 31017000???)
ASIC = Type 2
BOX SERIAL = 33820 (V2)

I was originally using provider code "31017000", as that's the code offered by ALL the code gen programs when selecting "Cingular" from a drop-down list of providers... Based on that, I tried the 7th and then the 1st codes:

#pw+849 941 673 731 043+7#
#pw+847 541 176 557 545+1#

No luck. Then I started to question the pr...
