I have not yet decided to signup with
cingular. My Verizon contract is over and
I am on month to month status.
I am in New York City and have no major
problems with Verizon.
But with the added towers of att and
cingular offer better reception?

Here is Austin Texas they have closed down the repair centers located at certain cooperate stores.

Now with the merger does cingular intend to open some back up and just let the insurance deal with it?

And also. For minor things like maybe the flip is broken or some minor break they told me that I would call a 1-800 # and get a new phone overnight. Exactly how does that work?

I am thinking about buying a LG L1400 and i wanted to know how is the service here in houston with that phone or any other phone after the AT&T Cingular merge

Ok, im just wondering about this problem. I live in west LA (90230) and the reception for cingular is great most of the time. However, it sucks A LOT at or near my house. Considering I dont even use my cell near my house most of the time it's not a big problem. But ive had other people tell me they have the same issue with their phone near their homes too. If anybody has a reason why this might happen that would be great. thanks!

Give me a list of all the deposits that are possible and maybe a brief caption of the reason for each. (Every day so far I've come across a couple different new amounts and want to know a good way to explain the reasons for a specific amount without offending the cust.)

There has been a lot of advertising in the Cingular stores with several promotional items in plain view of customers, of course as well as a web site: cingularpromo.com/cash Which is a site that promotes instant messaging for possible prizes. Other places of significant promoting is the large book that's in Cingular stores that explains the whole merger thing, and again, listed and pictured there.

All of these signs lead to the advertising of the Sony Ericsson z500a flip phone. What an ambitious string of promotions and advertising for a phone that's not available from cingular.com or at any Cingular store...yet.

There's a lot of talk of this highly anticipated model that might be coming real soon, any final word on it's release?

I've waited a while now, even before Day One got here, to upgrade my AT&T service over to Cingular and my decision hinges on what phone i'm upgrading to. I've wanted to get the Sony Ericsson z500a for a while now, but it's still not released yet. The only other phone that remotely interests me is Nokia 6230.

Should I wait another week on the SE z500a or go for the Nokia 6230...if anyone could help with my decision it would be great. Thanks for your help in advance.

Question to any Cingular rep or those who can answer it.

When a particular model's price drops such as the 2yr contract price, does it affects the price without a contract? Does that price too drop? Just curious....

There are two phones that are due for release for the week of the Thanksgiving holiday, the Nokia 7610 and Sony Ericsson z500a.

Keep your eyes on these two models to show up soon. Who knows, we might even get a Monday suprise with both released, at any rate it's supposed to be sometime during the week.

Both of these models will probably be very popular. Any opinions?

Would like to hear your feedback, good and bad. Currently using Verizon...want to switch to a GSM carrier for European travel. Also am under 15-day trial with T-Mobile. Love the call quality (T-Mobile) and phone (Samsung E105), but signal kinda sketchy/weak in my apt. Had to switch from Moto V180 (didn't work at all) to Samsung E105. Wondering if Cingular is doing better in my area. If you are familiar with Oakland, I'm live in Adam's Point near Lake Merritt. Thanks!!

She won it from Cingular she says. She is very friendly and is answering many questions about it on the z500 forum. I'm jealous--hopefully the rest of us won't have to wait much longer!

We are currently on a Verizon family plan. We are tired of Verizon. In our area the service is spotty and the rates are not as good as Cingular.

My problem is that the phone selection doesn't seem to be the best for Cingular. I am used to my Moto V60i which is near indestructable and very reliable. Looking at the choices at the Cingular site and comparing them against the reviews here, I am left wondering what to choose.

Some help please.

att's coverage in virginia has been suncom in my area, southwestern part of the state. does anyone know if cingular will be taking over suncom as well? i certainly am a fan of their plans and phones, but i have no clue if cingular will be taking suncom's customers or coverage area.

So, the second week will likely bring holiday traffic to most Cingular stores, with an extended weekend for a lot of business customers. The regional plans are supposted to be out on Nov. 20th, maybe there will be come holiday specials in regards to bonus minutes, but we'll see.

With increased customers, everyone from former AT&T subscribers to high end business users, will be flocking to the new (and existing) Cingular stores to look at or buy products and services. We should see some brochures to reflect holiday promotions with hopefully some enticing plans, as well as some anticipated new phone releases.

Anyone know what kind of things Cingular might be planning to offer new and existing customers on a week of opportunity?

I just received my 4th v400 replacement from Cingular today and I am having a problem with it already!! I switched from my old V400 with a full charge on my battery and when I put it in my "replacement" it says the battery was dead! so I charged it and 10 mins later it said charge complete. took it off the charger and about 10 seconds later it goes from being fully charged to one bar... what is going on?? Is this a known defect or what. I have had nothing with problems with moto phones with Cingular. I had the v600 and had two of those and now I'm on my 4 v400 with problems. What is the policy for getting a different model? I am willing to re sign my contract or pay the difference for another model. I can't keep having problems with my phone...
