I have a question everytime i record video with this phone its different legnths. If i record with the maximum setting that too is in different legnths so i guess my question is is there a way can regulate the movie legnths on my motorola v551 so there not different everytime i record video?

I have a total of 5 phones with Cingular on 3 different accounts. Its 1-3-1...i want to move one of the singles to the 3 to have a 4-1. So ultimately I will have four on a family talk and 1 by there self. My question is first can I do that and second could I keep the same #. Dont really want to call customer service and be on hold for something that can't happen.

Been messing with my new V551 phone all day and I have to say I am VERY IMPRESSED!!

More phone than I will ever need but I am sure glad I did not give into temptation and buy the R-3!!

The camera is actually VERY GOOD despite what some say on here all the test photo's I took came out looking very clear.

And here in Austin every where I went I had FIVE BARS all the time.

Just called customer service regarding a few questions.

1. Price of insurance.
2. Transferring info from one phone to a new one (sorry if I sound clueless).
3. If activation is charged each time.

In addition to the female rep being very nice (and seemed quite knowledgeable) my wait time was less than 60 seconds.

But what really got me was when we were about to end our conversation she caught me off guard and wished me a Happy Birthday coming up on 11/28. Was shocked and surprised. Kudos to all of the reps.

I just received my 4th v400 replacement from Cingular today and I am having a problem with it already!! I switched from my old V400 with a full charge on my battery and when I put it in my "replacement" it says the battery was dead! so I charged it and 10 mins later it said charge complete. took it off the charger and about 10 seconds later it goes from being fully charged to one bar... what is going on?? Is this a known defect or what. I have had nothing with problems with moto phones with Cingular. I had the v600 and had two of those and now I'm on my 4 v400 with problems. What is the policy for getting a different model? I am willing to re sign my contract or pay the differe...

I am currently a T-Mobile customer. I made the switch from Sprint back in January of this year... so I still have about 2 months left on my T-Mobile agreement. I originally made the switch because I needed a GSM phone/plan for all of my business travel needs. My T-Mobile service overseas has been stellar! At home, however, it really sucks! I live in the Los Angeles area (San Fernando Valley). I have called to complain about the lack of service in my area several times, and I'm really at the end of my rope. I have considered service with AT&T/Cingular, but not really sure if it's the way to go.

Anyone that actually works with the phones got anything good or bad to say about the v551??? I need a new phone and can't wait until the really good ones come out... I am usually anti Moto, but if this lives up to the reviews I may give them another shot... either this or the 6230, but that screen is just so damn small...

Can anyone please tell me when and why all these companies decided to switch the starting nights hours from 7 PM to 9 PM? Before you know it we are going to be starting nights at 11 PM and ending at 5 AM.

Any official word when we might see the phone of "first's" from Sony Ericsson...the Z500? It's supposted to be coming to Cingular practically anytime now.

...and finally, an all-in-one package from the new Cingular. Streaming multimedia and video recording capability together with EDGE hasn't been a familiar site with the former AT&T nor so far with Cingular. This one will be a welcome site when it arrives in stores.

Hi. I just got signed up for AT&T on the 14th and later found this site with info saying that the AT&T phones doent support the cross-tower selection (ENS). So I'm going to cancel and get signed up with Cingular. I have a minor question.

Am I better off migrating to Cingular or cancelling AT&T plan and then signing new Cingular?

If I migrate, I'm guessing I would get to keep the AT&T phone and sell it on ebay or something, although I'm not sure if the rebates would be valid after a migration.

Any idea's? Thoughts?

I never bought a phone online usually from a retail phone as if I have any problems I can go local. Also how is a1wireless?

All this crap about how good the company is supposed to be now that they bought at&t and how much better it is going to be for the customer and how they are number one... i wonder how many of hundreds possibly 1000's of new activations over the past 2 days of their IDIOT web masters... 41 billion dollars for at&t wireless and they can't even afford to run a web site... how do they expect to compete with Verizon like this... since noone can order from Cingular, I'm sure they can go right over to the Verizon web site and order, or T Mobile or even Sprint... because who ever it is that runs Cingular must not know how important having a good, RUNNING, WORKING website is to business... do they still have the same morons that screwed everything up...

ive had my contract for a year and a half out of my two year plan. and i was wondering if i can get a new phone or do i have to wait until the contract is over because some people have to do that...i really want the v620 and it would suck if i had to wait 6 more months for it...thanks

The guys at my local Cingular store here in Dallas really push for Motorola. They say that Motorola will get better reception than SE. Is this true?

I have a SE T616 and really like the menu interface better than Motorla's though. The V400 seems very slow to react when you navigate the menus. Deos anyone know if the V551 is any quicker?

i'm thinking of getting the motorola v551 is there any problems making/receiving calls like the v600 or is this a basicly trouble free phone
