I am thinking about getting a new phone when the new ones come out, and from what I've seen, I'm thinking about getting the se z500.

I have the se t616 right now. I like phone overall, but there a few things I dislike about it:

1)navigating the menus seems a tad slow
2)increasing ring you can't get rid of
3)speaker volume is a little low
4)screen light stays on while talking, and it night, this is very bright and annoying

Do any of you have SE phones that have come out AFTER the t616? If so, has SE improved on any of these issues?

Also, still new to all of the cell phone stuff. Not sure if phone or carrier has more to do with reception. Do newer SE phones seem to have good reception?

Well the merger has occured...and yet no one can answer my question. Can I have my GAIT phone programmed to see the ATT network in the DC area as primary? They have better coverage in the home and at work.

i have a v400 and it says it supports ems but i cant send ringtones from my phone to my pc in a mms why is that, im i missing something here? Second question(which is going to involv a totally different subject) Can anyone give me a ball park figure about how much the v551 and z500a will cost? And recommend which one i should look into because they almost look idnetical when it comes to features.

Looks like I am going with the V551(would LOVE to buy the RAZR 3 but can't spring 600 bucks for a phone there is no insurance on) 600 anytime minutes and see if I can talk the rep into giving me nights and weekends starting at 7 for free( YAH RIGHT!!).

I am pretty good on taking care of my phones but this will be my first camera phone should I add the insurance?! Anyone out there know of any chronic moto camera phone probs that would make me have to carry phone insurance?

So I went into a Cingular store tonight to see if they had the new brochures for Day one. I wanted to see if the regional plans had changed in anyway. Well the lady didn't know where they would be. Also she told me Cingular doesn't offer local/regional plans and only offer Nation plans. I thought she was lying since on Cingulars website they have regional plans. I come home and go to,

, and see if its been updated. Well whenever they talk about plans on there, they just mention Nation plans. I thought this was a little odd. Can anyone tell me whats up?

Today is Sunday and tomorrow, Monday, Nov. 15th is officially the highly anticipated Day One. After going to www.cingular.com and wanting to look at their phones, the site came up with a page stating that the web site is currently under construction.

It appears that changes are well underway, starting with the web site, and tomorrow we will be seeing the official change to Cingular in the former AT&T Wireless stores.

just went in to see if B.Buy had by chance gotten a new batch of phones with the updated firmware in.

And..... was told point blank by the sales guy that they had just packed all of these up and sent them back but did expect to receive an updated version "sometime" in the future.

I guess those a$$ munching dipsticks that posted here that there was no problem with the volume and that people's hearing must just be bad might have been a bit WRONG.

anyway, I am just irritated that Cingular and Moto let the phones go so far and are yanking them back now. So much for Cingular's "we test all phones extensively with at least 600 users before they go to market" BS. Bite me Cingular and Moto. Fix your phone and it will be a great one. ple...

I'm anxious to get one of the new phones coming out. A guy at the local Cingular store said they'll give me three days within purchasing a phone to see if I like it. After three days, I won't be able to return it.

Do mostly all Cingular stores go by this 3-day limit trial?
