Can A Cingular CSR Answer This Question About New Cooperate Accounts

I was told today by a cingular cooperate rep that if I do not have to sign a contract and go straight month to month if all my info checks out good. All I had to do was buy the phone I wanted as full price. 😳

This is beautiful!

A customer just called into one of my teammates and told her that the retail reps advised him that the echo on the reciever end of the phone was growing pains... HAHAHAHAHA

No Telligence

YAYE telligence has gone down again... so now we get to tell customers all about our lovely new specials, and then explain to them how they can't activate or check anything on their account until it's fixed.

Cingular & Credit

We're going to be selling Cingular soon and we never had it before in AZ. Can anyone give me some info about credit requirements? More specifically, how does credit worthiness compare with the other companies?

Let me give an example to make this make sense. If a customer comes in and wants a T-Mobile phone and they come up as smart access, I know that VZ will most likely charge a $400 deposit per phone, and Alltel will charge 100-200 per phone.

Where does Cingular stand in situations like this?

The reason I ask is that I get a lot of customers who are 18 or 19 with no credit history.

I just want to be prepared and be able to make good recommendations for my customers.

Thanks for any input.

Switching

I am glad I found this website - chock full of info! I recently decided to switch from Sprint (too expensive) to Cingular. However, I think I screwed up because I placed my order on Friday.

Should I try to cancel the order or send it back when I get it? From the sounds of it, I should have waited to see what the next two weeks or so bring.

FYI - I was torn between the Moto V400, LG L1400, and the Samsung e317 (really wanted the Nokia 6230 but cannot afford the 200 up front right now). Anyway - I chose the LG and from the reviews I have read on this site and other I did make a good choice.

November 15th Day One - New phone lineup

I have verified from many (seven to be exact) soon to be former AT&T stores throughout my region and all have said that November 15th is definately the first day they will have Cingular phones and plans available.

With AT&T and Cingular both offering most of the same phones when they existed as separate companies, we should expect a whole lot of change in the line up of phones coming just days from now.

We are just a few days of the eve of the birth of the nation's largest wireless provider becoming a reality. Does anyone out there know what phones we will see in stores next Monday? Let's get together and get some answers on this very difficult but gotta-know question, we can try anyway.

Thinking Of Switching From Nextel To Cingular

Hello everyone. I am a current Nextel customer on the verge of switching over to Cingular.

I really don't need a camera phone but I do like the V400 and the V551

Does anyone know if they are going to release a non camera version of either phone before the end of the year?

Also how much different are the rate plans going to be after Nov 15th?

Are nights and weekends starting at 7 still going to be something you have to pay extra for?

My phone will be for work and personal I am currently on a free incoming calls plan.

My average use of minutes is around 1000 to 1200 hundred a month with a lot of text messaging.

Hopefully someone here on the boards can answer my questions. 🙂 😳

Is it possible, or has anybody seen mmode charges that were incorrect? Cust tried saying her children didnt use then, nor did she, but has too many KB's to be accidental......maybe the 1 line, but her childrens lines have too much.....cust has a history of mmode charges credited back.

The news is coming on Nov. 10th?

As many of us know, (newcingular.com) has been advertising November 10th as the date when we will have an update on when everything will be available. It's a matter of waiting and seeing what date they will give us then, but does anyone know what will be included in such a big announcement?

Will it be phones, data and voice plans, new services, rollover minutes, or the all-over availbility of that they have to offer and exactly when?

C'MON!!!

This whole thing with Cingular buying out ATT kinda confused me a bit. Like it was a good move for them, but i live in Utah and Cingular doesn't have service at all in Utah! And i keep wondering how they can buy out another company and still not have service in all of the states...
