"101--This info is not available for your acct. type."

Is this because I have FT Plan, or because I'm on combined billing with SBC.

Anyone know?

Thanks.

"MY ACCOUNT" online bill view/pay disabled???

Does anyone know why Cingular's Online Account manager has been diabled for the last several days? I work over seas and I always pay my bill online every month. I have been trying since tuesday but I have not been able to even look at my account at all, much less pay my bill. If I cannot pay it by the cut off date, who is at fault, Cingular or ME? I have tried at lreast 10 times every day.

what type of phone would be best??

I am getting a phone for my sister for Christmas. She is 13 and she wants a flip phone (but it doesn't have to be) decent games (she is only 13 you know) and she wants something with a camera but i don't know for sure about that. What would be a good phone for her. Oh and I'm not to worried about the price it being a Christmas present and all but preferably something under $100 willing to sign 2 year contract because she is going on my plan and i am putting insurance on it. OK give me some suggestions,.

November 15th "Day One?"

After calling several AT&T company stores, asking when Cingular products and services would be available to us, I was told that they would be totally changed over to Cingular on November 15th, but the details of new phones and what services they would offer then was still unclear.

Cingular's website (newcingular.com) states that we will see an update on availability to former AT&T customers on November 10th...so that would make sense that things will probably be changed on the 15th. We'll see.

New models not on Phone Finder now

I just checked out the Phone Finder section here at Phonescoop, and checked the box in the search engine "Cingular (AT&T Wireless)" and the "Coming Soon" phones did not show up at all, just the discontinued ones. This must have happened sometime over the past couple of days.

Does anyone know if there will be an update as to the new phones to be carried by Cingular on this site? Hopefully if the page is being updated, we will be able to know what models will be available and when.

This tickles me to no end...

The fact that Best Buy has the 30-day National Exclusive to sell the MPx220 for OUR service... and we're not allowed to sell it until Nov. 15th... Oh well... Anybody know how much Best Buy is asking for the phone @ Full retail?

Latest word on PTT?

Hello to all my fellow Cingular employees and customers!
I was wondering if anyone heard the latest news on our PTT. Last time I spoke to the regional rep here in MD he said that it has been pushed back until early next year.

My question doesn't really concern when it might or might not be launched, but how it would be billed.
Do you see Cingular's PTT as an add on feature much like Sprint's? or do you see it included in seperate/exclusive plans like Nextel?
Would it be unlimited? or limited to certain alotment of minutes?

Just some questions to consider, any feed back or input to fuel the discussion would be awesome.

New To Cell World, could use some advice..

I am thinking about purchasing a cell phone. But before I do, I need some advice. Whether to go with a CDMA service or GSM.
I would like to get a camera phone, but I need service from Orlando to the Georgia border and it HAS TO COVER all of Manhatten and all of Long Island, New York. These are the areas of my up and coming business venture.
I'm not really interested in the other 48 ststes, ONLY in these two.
Thank you.

Should I switch or not?

I have a plan that I am very happy with on the ATT network. I have a share plan at 59.00 a month plus 9.99 each additional phone. I have three phones in all. The biggest thing I like is the 7pm night and weekend starts. I noticed that cingular starts theirs at 9pm unless you pay an extra 7 dollars. I do not need rollover because I never go over my minutes now. Now my question, Can I stay with my current plan, phones, and service. Or will I have to make they switch. I have 18 months remaining on my current contract. Thanks and let me know.

Does anyone want to share?

So I've heard rumors of new plans coming out when this whole thing is over with. Any of you want to share what those plans might be. I've heard their good, but to me the At&t plans are good because of the free incoming text messages and the free 7pm nights at $59.99 and higher plans. 😁

Bring on the NEW phones now ! ! !

Okay, for weeks (if not months) now, we have been waiting on the merger to go thru because supposedly after it did Cingular would be releasing a bunch of new phones including the V551 and the RAZR V3...

Sooo, the merger is complete now so bring on the phones!

I am very anxious to look at and evaluate the Moto RAZR V3 to see if it is all hype (like the V710 was) or if it really is the greatest thing since sliced bread like the early adopters who have already bought it and started posting reviews are claiming...

Any Cingular employees have any inside info they can share? 😁

Anyways, bring on the phones!

cheers all,

kega

Samsung E317?

Does anyone have the new Samsun E317? I don't see many helpful reviews on the site, so I need someone who owns it to give me the low down on it's performance. I'm thinking of switching to Cingular when my T-Mobile contract is up in a month and am looking at either the Samsung E317 or Samsung X427M for my first phone.

And what's the deal with the 1000 Rollover minutes TOTAL for the whole month? That's supposed to be a good deal? Is there no way to get that 1000 WITH Unlimited Nights/Weekends? And I guess Mobile to Mobile would be a give away for $39.99, huh? lol.

Signing to Cingular with new phones?

There is supposted to be more news coming November 10th on newcingular.com about when AT&T customers can have access to Cingular's products and services. Maybe then we will have a final date when those things will be available to former AT&T customers.

It would be nice to see some new phones released at the same time we have an "all-Cingular" newtwork available, which i'm sure that they will want to impress the 20 million or so AT&T customers out there...we should wait and see what Cingular has up their sleve in the way of new phones too, we can be assured it's nothing short of amazing.

Bluetooth Headsets

Has anybody ever tried to use a Bluetooth headset on a Bluetooth enabled computer as a speaker or microphone? I wont be able to try it for myself until they ship the "learn to earn" awards.

Merger, Audiovox SMT-5600, and "must buy new phone"

So...this is a question from a thread on the Audiovox SMT-5600 page, but thought you Cingular guys might be able to answer it.

This is an "AT&T" phone, but once our AT&T contracts are "up," are we going to have to buy a "Cingular" phone to stay with Cingular? Or can we just keep using the SMT-5600?

I think the confusion stems from the Cingular Merger webpage that says that in order to switch to Cingular, you have to buy a new GSM phone from Cingular. But I tend to think that is to get everyone out of the older systems and on to GSM/GPRS, and because the SMT-5600 is already GSM/GPRS there should be no trouble keeping it.

Anyone know?
