About me...
I have been through multiple carriers and phones...

Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and now am at Cingular.

Star Tac, Timeport, Moto V-60, Siemens M55, Siemens S55, Siemens CF63, Sony Ericsson Z600, Moto V-400, Nokia, Nokia, Nokia (don't remember anymore)

My ideal phone would be the new RAZR V3 but I hear the loudness sucks in that one too.

anybody know how to get AIM for phones on cingular? my buddy has a v300 for t-mobile and he has full AIM how come you can't get AIM on the v400 for cingular?

I am an AT&T Wireless employee. I was wondering who Cingular has dental coverage through. We are starting the process of braces for my daughter and want to make sure coverage continues.

Have the ATT towers here in the Philly / Burlington County, NJ area been opened up to Cingular customers just like in the NYC area?

I live and work in Burlington county near Rt. 38 between Moorestown and Mount Holly.

I ask because I am now getting Cingular Extend and not Cingular. I never use to get this before. From the error message I get when I dial 611 I know it's ATTWS.

This would help cover some of the dead spots locally in Cingular's coverage. 😎

I know everyone hates seeing this question... but since now... it seems more relevant b/c it is for sure coming out in the next few weeks...

NYC Associates: As you may know, we received word from AT&T Wireless that (at our request) they had opened six LACs (Location Area Codes) to Cingular's Customers in the NYC Region. This gives all of our customers enhanced coverage in Eastern Long Island and Northwestern New Jersey, as well as Westchester, Putnam and Rockland Counties in New York within the respective defined calling areas of each customer's rate plan. This is GREAT news.

I've had a lovely time trying to get my LG C1300 phone replaced (it won't charge anymore). Rather than taking it to the store and handling it as I used to be able to, you now have to talk to 10 people over the phone and have them send you a replacement, which sucks. The replacement phone doesn't work either, but for kicks and giggles I put the SIM card in my old Nokia 6340i, which worked wonderfully. If the next replacement LG doesn't work, can I just put my SIM into the 6340i, or will Cingular want to ding me for it being a GAIT phone? Thanks.

Would anyone comment on reception and coverage with both carriers, is there a difference or just about the same?

My current contract with AT&T is expiring tomorrow, 24th at midnight. I would like to sign with Cingular on-line the same day to take advantage of the free LG 1400 promo. I know it takes some time to process the order esspecially if I want to transfer my number from AT&T. So my question is what would be the starting date of my new contract, 24th or later? Will I be penalized by AT&T for breaking contract in this case?

What metrics are corp. retail reps held too? Are retail reps held to selling 3 features per gross add and 2 accessories or they get PIP's (put on performance improvement plans)?

I have a question regarding reception. My wife and I have 2 Moto. V400 camera phones (Both Brand New) and while on a trip to Colorado I encountered something odd. We were traveling through Texas up in the panhandle, and my wifes phone had full signal strength on (Plateau GSM) Cingular Extended from Clayton to Dumas, while my phone had no signal at all. I called customer service and they said that all of the OTA programing was correct. Can anyone tell me what is going on? and maybe a resolution....
P.S. I stared receive signal (Cingular Extended) again on my phone in Amarillo. Thanks for any info.

I have been lurking for awhile. have been a cingular customer for about a year and a half now.

Phone history: 3560 which was great until it started to act like the Exorcist child. It would project the callers voice through the microphone. That, and any time I'd send a text message it would turn off.

So I replaced with the Siemens S56 and I hate it too. Same problem with text messaging, have a lot of problems connecting calls, can't hear the darn ringer, etc. Love bluetooth but the battery life sucks.

Anyway, I'm holding out for the 6230 because I've been a disgruntled Sprint PCS user (thank goodness I finally switched and ate the termination fee) and had a Star-Tac that was quite possibly the worst phone I ever had. No Motorola's...

i want a camera phone that takes good pics where u can actually recognize the person ur taking a picture of. i am probably willing to pay 300-350 for a phone, i have been interested in purchasing the motorola a630. Anyone know any other cell phones that i should consider thanks

I am In southwest Riverside county where the 909/951 area code split happened and now that my number is a 951 I no longer receive text messages from anyone who does not have Cingular!! 👿 Most of the people that text me have Verizon. I have been on the phone with Cingular for the past couple of weeks and they have been playing the blame game. Cingular says that Verizon need to "load my number in their database" and I will be able to receive them. So I called Verizon and they also played the blame game and said that it is all on Cingular's end. 🙄 I have been going back and forth with both companies and have spoken with both tech support teams. No one to this day has given me a solid answer. Anyone know what could be causing this to ...
