I'm confused. Been reading the forums and see that there's a "reception" problem with the V600s on Cingular. But I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, bought a Cingular V600 on Sunday (Circuit City has a SICK rebate whereby if you buy a V400 for $80, you get a FREE V600 and a FREE Bluetooth) and, so far, have experienced no reception problems at all. Phone works great (well, as great as cell phones work, which isn't saying much.)

So, my question is: Are the V600 problems nationwide or are there only geographic pockets where the phone has problems?

Can anyone tell me of any new Camera Phones that may be out in the next three months? (Available in Fl.)
I have gone to the phone and phonefinder on phonescoop, and they always have this "list" of phones in both sections. But for some reason these phones either rarely come out or are never available.

Does anyone know when ATT's towers are supposed to change over because in Texarkana, in town my phone says cingular but 10 miles outside Cingular Extend.... but Shreveport is completly Cingular now when i used to have the same problem there too??

I'm yet again searching for a new phone to use with Cingular. I'm currently on the V600, which has been pretty good, but I have also experienced the dropped call/decreasing signal issue that eventually led to Cingular discontinuing the phone. I'm trying to decide what (future) phone would be a good replacement...Here's my list (in order of preference) so far, any comments or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

What does everyone think of the new 3200? After the 3595 and all of the complaints that I get for the buttons, I dont know why Nokia would make this mistake again. I have to switch out so many 3595's with 3590 faces and buttons just to make the customer happy.
I do like the features of the 3200 including the camera and the nice screen, and the price point of $129.99 on a 2 year agreement sounds right....but Nokia needs to step it up in the styling department and stop making ugly phones.

Does anyone know if there will be an even larger phone selection with Cingular once the merger goes threw. Will it spead up the process of WCDMA. Will they come out with a PTT. What are some things you guys know are going to happen that we really havent talked about before.

So Cingular has their new connection software that can be downloaded on their website, and as far as I can tell the only downside is that it doesn't support the bluetooth format. Is there any other downsides to this software? And how does it compare to the Mobile Phone Tools from Motorola that I've been using?

Just found this forum and want to ask some advice.

I currently have a cingular Tdma plan, bundled with my Bsouth account, the plan expires Aug '05.

I want to upgrade to Family talk and add 2 lines for my wife & son at college.
This requires upgrade to Gsm plan.

Cingular rep claims I am not eligible for upgrade till Tdma expires, so I would have buy Gsm phones at full price.

Can I cancel the Tdma plan, and then start a new plan and get the discounts on phones? I know I will get stuck paying a cancel fee for Tdma plan, are there any other charges I might incurr?

My other idea is to go to bestbuy and start a new plan under my name with a separate account at cingular, once the plan is active, then cancel the old Tdma plan...
