if a phone is a quad-band, will it have better reception?

the t809 has quad-band and i was wondering if this would mean better reception than say a triband. t-mobile network already has bad reception as it is, so i want a phone that gets the best reception it can with t-mo's service.

Good Coverage in Twin Cities with Sidekick II?

Have you had good coverage with T-Mobile in the Twin Cities, expecially in the north suburbs such as blaine, coon rapids, anoka. Any big area coverage problems with a sidekick II? Because i'm thinking of switching. thanks

PTT & T-Mobile USA...?

Anyone have any ideas as to what settings I could use to enable PTT on T-Mobile USA. I know it's not supported yet but that's only due to lack of bandwidth.

If I could hack some settings then I could get it to work for me and a few of my friends who also have PTT phones.

Just wondering if anyone has done any research on this...

Thanks

LG VX 9800 OR SIDEKICK

I'm not sure which one to choose now i will more than likely stick with t-mobile just because of their price points, but I'm not sure if i should get a sidekick or an verizon LG VX 9800 the only draw back is that the streaming media coverage in only in the city and i am mainly in central IL where all carriers have decent coverage but the media is none existant. Tmobile has edge which i would not take up because the sidekick doesn't have it. So is gprs with it and is the sidekick really slow with loading pages htmls. also if i bought the sidekick will i be upset because a new will be out in 06.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES??

I was just wondering if anyone can give me some honest feedback on how difficult it is to get a job as a T Mobile sales rep. Can you also give me an approximate starting salary. I have between 1-2 years experience if that helps.

I am interested in possibly working for T Mobile. I have heard good things about the way they treat employees, such as pay, benefits, and hours. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks. 🙂

What if RIM loses Patent? What about my T-mo BB?

I came to T-Mo for two reasons, cost and the BB 7100t. I was the first sale they made at my local T-Mo office when the 7100t hit the market. It's been a great phone, with great service, about 5,000/mo. But what now if T-Mo can't continue with the BB due to the patent infringement lawsuit? The company has fallen behind the other carriers in offers of PDA/phones and have nothing to take its place. Do I leave or stay? What's your plan?

T-mobile network not that bad Thoughts About t-mobile network versus cingular network

I always hear people talking bad about t-mobile t-moible this and that but its not that bad. Better than sprint and nextel for sure. But in california and NY their network is alot better than cingular's network.

Replacement to the Mot. v360

Anyone know if tmobile and motorola will be coming out with a upgraded version to this phone anytime soon? It seems to me that the v330 came and went rather quickly, I was curious if there was a chance that would be happening to the v360 as well. The razr seems to have been here for a while also, does anyone think that tmobile will be getting an upgraded version of it as well? ( megapixel camera, expandable memory perhaps)

PEBL Info

From this morning's Chicago Tribune Business Section:

"T-Mobile plans to have it [the PEBL] for sale online by the second week of December, priced at $299 with a one-year contract. Its expected in T-Mobile stores in January"
...
Analysts said "the PEBL has had some problems with the hinge mechanism. The hinge opens so quickly, the momentum can thrust it out of a user's hands"

Looks like some of you folks may just have to hold on to your britches. Wow, not available in stores by Christmas? Seems like Moto is starting to make the same mistakes again.

On a stupid note, it really bugs me that the Trib printed the phone as the Pebl and not the PEBL. I thought it was all caps. 😕

MOTO A910?

What ever happened to this phone being released for t-mobile? And is there any way to make the new Pink Razr cheaper with some kind of activation or something. I have 2 years of upgrades does that play a role? And is there some limited number and are they hard to get? Thanks!

Farwell T-Mobile

After years of “thinking about it”, I finally made the switch to Sprint today. Just took my 6700 off charge and was just thinking about all the calls into T-Mobile over the last year.

Q (November 2004): Are you going to get the Treo 650?
A (Representative): Yes, very soon. I think in a few weeks.

One year later.

Q: Do you have ANY PDA’s?
A: You mean a Blackberry?

Get serious. I feel like a ton of bricks has been lifted off my shoulders. Funny, I was never able to get over one bar at my home. I have “full” bars right now with this new service.

I hope this doesn’t sound like a total T-Mobile slam because they were OK for a few years. They just went down hill over the last year. I had to bail. Good luck to the rest of you...
