Will someone please help me by showing me what format vidoes need to be in in order for them to play on the phone and how to convert them. Thank you

How many screen names can u have on your mobile IM list?

I'm no techie. I just wanted to use the phone as a modem for a mac, but the manual doesn't give any help. I've tried to search this group and other links for instructions and/or info about the workability of this function. Such a glut of confusion out there! Why doesn't/can't Verizon just come through and lay out a clear and simple path to getting online? This could go for a number of other functions. I don't understand why it needs to be such a tooth-pulling affair. Those at the VZ stores know nothing about nothing! They even seem proud to be so in the dark. I heard a VZ guy joking about it today in fact. 😳

I didn't see this posted anywhere so I figured I'd post it for those who are interested.

I just went on GIN with my V710 and the had the Mobile IM app available. You won't find it under Messaging though. I believe it was under Featured Apps but anyways I downloaded it and it works like a charm.

Once in a while, the bluetooth headset (or v710) fails to respond to initiating a call.Most often happens when the phone has been idle for a few minutes. Multiple presses of the multi-function button on the earpiece fails to get the phone to respond. Anyone else notice this???

While I was entering opcode my phone shutoff and turned into FTS mode. THe people at the verizon store told me that it is in testing mode and I need to go back to the verizon store where i bought it. I am in Miami for college now, I bought it in Maryland. Somebody help, Im sure there is a hack to get it out of this. Thanks

Hi. I am most likely going to purchase this phone (if I choose VZW over ATTWS), but after reading reviews, this phone looks like it just...blows. After looking at all the features, this phone looks amazing, but is it really what it's hyped up to be? The phone looks great, too. Could someone please tell me if it is worth the money? I am deciding between VZW/Motorola v710 and ATTWS/Motorola v600. Any suggestions? Thanks. Please list all pros/cons you would like to, as these phones are expensive and I want to make the right choice.

The backlight on the keyboard of my V710 doesn't seem to light all of the keys. This is a problem in the dark and was wondering if everyone else has the same experience in low light situations.

Is there anyway to get the outside display to not power off? Though I realize it can eat battery, I'd like to be able to quickly check the time/if i have any messages. Thanks. 😁

does anyone know where you can buy adapter ONLY for the transflash card?

Where is all the cool wallpaper at. Someone posted a cool site here (I think). I searched but could not find it. It had a cool heineken shot on one of the first few pages. Please help

I JUST got my transflash. Transfered pictures off the phone and ringtones on. Both ringtones tranfered to phone and was able to play them. When I went to store a ringtone as ringer ID only one of the two showed up. Any ideas?

Both are .mp3 files.

One is stereo, one is mono.

The one that workes is 238 kb
One that did not 88 kb

my current v710 is scratched and it annoys me so i want a new 1...tomorow is my 15th day of having this phone ...so i think im gonna go to the store and say that the v710 constantly turns off and it is annoying and i think its defective...will they fall for that and give ma a new v710 since my 15 days arent up yet???

Can any Mac user let me know if you have been able to sync your address book and calendar using a USB cable? Also any luck transferring files to transflash using the cable? Thanks in advance

I posted something the other day about having trouble getting call waiting while using the 810 earpiece. Some have written and said they were able to do it. However, this is the response I got from Moto tech support:

so i was in the store this morning and was inquiring about the v710 and if they are having a lot of probs with them. the sales guy said they have exchanged many. At this time they are currently sold out again. He told me in his exact words "too many people are being sticklers because they are exchanging the phone because of nicks and scratches..." He explained that this model is their hottest seller and that info from the internet about it being pulled is rumor only. They have not had a customer return the v710 because of defects (they should come to this forum!)

Just got mine in today via UPS. I live in the D.C. metropolitan area.

I just sent my motorola V710 in on Thursday evening (as I posted on this weekend). I thought I was to receive a credit towards another phone but today in the mail I received a brand new Samsung A670. I am torn as to whether I should open it or send it back and chose my own phone. I have heard great things about this phone but have never owned a Samsung product.

Ok, so here is my dilema. I have the 128 transflash card and, for the most part, it has worked flawlessly in transferring pictures, sounds, etc to and from the phone with my card reader. However, I tried to transfer approx 64 MB of mp3s, approximtely 10 songs or so, to the transflash card. When the transfer was complete, I checked the card and all of the mp3s were on the card. However, when I opened the card in the phone, I only had access to about half of them and I couldn't scroll or change pages or anything to get to the additional songs.

Any thoughts?
