Motorola V710

My Dell laptop (Inspiron 8200 with Windows XP) doesn't have a bluetooth module in it, but if I got this amazing-looking keyboard combo (with a bluetooth transmitter), would I be able to communicate with my v710?

Does anyone know of an adaptor and or where to buy one - that will allow you to comunicate with a non-bluetooth PC?

Quick question - on my old T720, if you were browsing in the Get It Now options, there was the good old "Back" soft key to take you to the previous menu. With the V710 the only way to go "Back" is to use the key to end calls, and this completly ends the Get It Now session. Any idea why there is no Back soft key, or any Back key, on the V710? 😕

Its only 1 day old.. I have all the packaging..Everything it comes with. Its just too uncomfortable for me.. dont like that "in the ear canal" part of it either. just sux....Someone make me a best offer by 10AM Eastern Time Wednesday August 25th..I think i'll try the hs810 and decide between that and the 820... ok fire away guys.

For some reason, when the phone is in my pocket, the outside picture button keeps getting hit. I went to download a program on my phone and it told me "Memory Full". I knew that sounded strange, so I looked through my files, and found about 14 blank (completely black) picture files, each of which were about 200 KB. I think it is because when the picture button gets held down, it takes a picture. Kind of annoying. Any suggestions?

This is weird. I have a BT200 that I paired supposedly in "handsfree" mode (by holding the up volume and MFBs simultaneously as described on Jabra's web site). None of the handsfree features seem to work, but I've just noticed tonight that twice, my phone actually *rang* while the headset was turned on (and on my ear). The bluetooth icon was not on the outer display when it lit up, and when I pressed the MFB it answered the call. This happened a couple of times, it appeared, when I hadn't used the headset in awhile - like the phone had gone into a powersaving mode and disrupted the BT link. Now when I try it I hear a ring in the headset, but I've only tried letting a half minute or so go between attempts.

How do i reformat the transflash card?

I just recently purchased the V710, which is the first up-to-date phone I have had in years, so all this talk of "firmware" updates from Verizon has me rather perplexed. What exactly is a firmware update, what does it do, etc. How are you notified when one is available? Do you go into the Verizon store to get it done? Thanks...

Does the V710 ring and vibrate at the same exact time like Nokia has since the beginning of man, or is it like all other Motorola phones and they either ring OR vibrate but not at the same time.

What is the adapter called? Is it just the SD one that Sandisk makes? Is there anywhere that pairs the two devices together for delivery convienience?

I don't know if i'm the first to say this but yea 4 people who didn't get they card from chumbo missed out, they jus raised the price to 45.49 when it used to be 37 and now its sold out and on order again. lol i'm pretty sure alot of people must of bought there's when they found out they where in stock yesterday. Well anyways if u still want the card go ahead and order it while its on order, thats what i did and they shipping mine today.

i know this is the v710 forum but there isn't anyone at the other boards! (so plz don't yell at me), but i set up my own wap portal site for quick access to my links and want to share it with my friend who has the lg 5450..i'm using the free wap with my v710, is it possible for him to set up his phone to use the free wap too?

I can have the mp3's show up on my phone but my phone wont play them, and on top of this it erased the media that was on my phone already ( the ones that came stock ) has anyone else had this problem and is there a way i can fix this??

Love the V710! (so far). Jabra 250 works VERY well and it feels very comfortable for me.

However, the mobile phone tools V2 with USB bluetooth adapter is not so good. It doesn't work - when opening the tools, the link is made (phone makes appropriate pairing noise, my PC can see the phone, etc.) but phone tools just sits there saying "initializing" and never completes the linkage.

Called BVRP (the developer of the product)and they tell me that Moto is aware of the problem and are working on it. Uh oh, I'm thinking, this isn't going to be fixed anytime soon.

So, word to the wise - get and use the serial adapter version. I'll just keep hoping.

Oh yes, for those of you talking in another thread about the transflash cards - Radiosh...

Am I correct in my assumption that the 710 does NOT support this profile?

I am getting ready to pait my new BT250 and I swear I remember reading somewhere that this profile is not supported on the 710.
