Motorola V710

I have purchased two 128mb TransFlash cards from Buy.com last month, but still have not received them. My question is, where can I find a SD to TransFlash adapter. I have 10 in 1 memory card reader, but it does not have a TransFlash slot. Can it be inserted in the MMC slot? Sorry if that is a stupid question. Any guidance would be helpful!

I've dropped my phone once so far, pretty badly actually (long story short, the car door was open, it fell, however, the car was barelly moving) The phone now has a bunch of scratches, two on the front, one on the right side, and the biggest one, a chip on the top left corner. I am still under my 15 day worry free guarentee. Can I return the phone and tell the guy it wasn't durable enough or something? I don't want to be cheap or anything, but It doesn't look as good with a big scratch in it and I don't want to pay the $50 deductible with insurance to get a new phone.

Does anyone know where i can get the ringer tone that is featured in the motorola's v710 short film? Or is it just made up...thanks

I just ordered it (the HS525 headset), but I'm wondering...will the V710 play MP3s while the phone is closed and this headset is attached?

It would be a shame if it doesn't. I'd like to use it while I work out, so having it open would be just about impossible.

I can't see to get my mp3s to show up on my transflash card. On my computer they show that their there, but when I put it the card in my phone nothing is there? What do I do thank you so much

I have a question, I just bought a v710 in Delaware and I have learned how to do everything except one little tiny thing that has been getting on my nerves. The external display background has changed since I've owned the phone. I bought it Saturday and it changed either Sunday or Monday. How and why did it change? Can I do it myself? Ciao

I have the moto 820 headset and have noticed the phone battery seems to drain much faster then when this is in use then when just talking on the phone. Is this normal for all bluetooth products?

Is it possible to watch movie files transferred from the pc onto to the memory card in its entirety on the phone or does it only allow for a 12 sec clip?

Why is there such limited things to download;

for example only xringer and modtones for ringtones, and VERY limited games to choose from

I have never had a camera phone and many of the ones that I see are located on the back or swivel so they are not facing front or outside when on the belt. If dust or a rain drop should get on the lens is Q-Tip good to use? Do these cameras get affected by dirt? 🙄

In field test mode, every setting you see can be changed. Hit the menu key, then down to scroll through them. However, Like Level2 said, be warned. For example, I already messed up my phone. I went to "AudioOut". The origional setting was "AUTO" so I went through it, and it had different options,"HEAD", "HAND", "SPKR", "TOLR", "ROLR", and "EXT". But, oh no! Not more AUTO! Well, I put it to HAND, which makes the output go to the handset, but when I turn on speakerphone, it doesn't come on. SO, readers beware! If I don't figure out how to change it back, its ok, cuz the next flash from VZW will put it back. Anyway, who needs speakerphone!? (lol, just kidding)

I've never followed a phone before and I was just wondering when the price of the v710 should drop and by how much?

so my next question relates to the backlight-
my backlight looks quite odd- almost half burned out (i.e. the whole number isn't illuminated).

also, when is the backlight behind the keys supposed to light up- when you open the phone, and, when you dial? because that is not happening with this phone.

the setting is on 20 seconds.

sorry for the inane question- just trying to figure out what is standard or if this is a broken feature

so i just brought home the v710 after deliberating about whether it was worth it. too soon to tell, really, but i have some initial issues and would appreciate some help:

1) the voice recognition SUCKS. when i press on the little button and say name dial it dials the last phone number i dialed. i tried just saying "name" and it did the same thing. what's going on here?

my phonebook entries were transferred from my old v60 and they are all single names. should i return the phone?

2) what was the ring preprogrammed to when you received your phone? mine was moonlit haze which i found odd and began to worry that this was a returned phone.

3) any way for the screen on the outside to stay lit with time and date, etc.?
