Motorola V710

Is there a way to move photos in and out of the phone to and from a Windows computer using the USB cable? Any software recommendations are welcome. Thanks! 🙂

Hi Everyone,

It seems that if you have a bluetooth ear piece enabled and you try to play an MP3 under "Sounds" nothing gets sent to the ear piece. If you turn off the bluetooth ear piece (to break the connection) it starts playing over the phone's speaker. Can someone else confirm this?

until my 15 days are up. I am undecided whether to return the phone or not. I've already invested in the HS810 headset and it works good with the phone. The only thing I am worried about is the phone breaking down on me within a year. Don't get me wrong I like the phone but it's pretty pricey for the extra bells and whistles. I don't know if I should return it and wait for another bluetooth phone w/ VZW or keep it. What to do, what to do....

I just got it, trying to pair it. The manual says the blue light is supposed to stay on permanently when you first turn it on but I cant get it to stay on? Please help.

Are there any games that anyone particularly recommends. I have played Call of Duty on my PC and am wondering how its quality is on the V710. Which game(s) would be most worth the cost? Thanks...

Well, 2 weeks into owning my combo setup: a V710 and a Dell Axim X30 (with Bluetooth) I am now bored. The combo replaced my 1yr old Samsung i700 PPC phone that was slow in speed, only had PPC2002 until now, and didnt have wifi or bluetooth.

Now with the XDA III approved for Verizon, I am getting back on the trail again to start savoring a new phone. I will enjoy this V710 for as long as it takes for the XDA III, but once it is out, it will be perfect!

when i change the .mp3 to .mid, the file wont play after and when i just try to send it to my phone vzwpix.com it comes up as a .txt file???? does anyone know how to fix that? i also have done this before on another computer and it worked fine

Just came back from Verizon in MA. (had problem w/video files saving and couldn't find them) and he reset the phone by taking out the battery and said it must be a software glitch. I asked if he knew (he was the manager of the service dept) and he said Motorola has a flash but Verizon hasn't approved it yet..... What else is new huh !!!!!

When i try to add someone elses phone # as an email, similar to how your # is '[email protected]', the phone automatically puts the dashes between the #'s. It looks like this XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Does anyone know how to remove the dashes? I've tried everything, but the phone still puts them in.

I got my email from Customer Service saying to expect the unit in 6-8 weeks.

I've since bought a Jabra headset and, therefore, would like the speakerphone instead.

I called Customer Service, they transferred me to a bad number.

Anyone know how to contact the Promotions Dept. at MOTO ?

I was tryin to use Bluetooth on the V710 by tryin to connect to a friends phone so he could like send me pics and ringtones. But the problem is that everytime we try to connect, the V710 asks for a passkey or password to go forward, and my friends phone does the same. He has a Sony Ericsson, not Verizon, but he has done it a lot of times with other people using his phone. So we could not connect the phones. Has anyone tried this and were you successful.

I know a few days ago someone posted how do send ringers to yourself with a pix message but had to change the mp3 to midi and the stereo to mono or something, can someone please please please repost that or tell me how to do it asap! just got my phone and need so much help...

I am told that a desktop charger for the 720 will work with the 710. These chargers have a slot for charging a spare battery seperate from the phone. Will this work with 710 and 710 spare battery? Or, is the only way to charge batteries to have it attached to the phone?

Having a spare battery seems pointless if it must be attached to the phone for charging. I am replacing my a310 for which I bought a seperate charger that allows me to charge the batteries off of the phone, This is great because I leave my phone on and simply switch batteries when necessary. This leaves me with 2 fully charged batteries whenever I may need them. Can I do this with 710?

I've found that files report corrupt when viewing them at sometimes.
Now when I created a play list it plays most of the files then it will stop and tell me a file that is not even on my play-list is corrupt. Are other people having files report corrupt?

Anyone know of some off the wall features in this phone? So far its great, and since its so great, I'm wondering if there is anything untapped that isn't in the manuals...

Wildcards for call groups? e.g. any number with the area code and exchange (123)444-xxxx would ring in the same call group, so that you could have anyone from a large organization calling you show up the same.

How about being able to use your mobile web as an internet connection for a laptop (without paying the exorbitant rates for wi-fi?

MPT - I've found that it'll only sync 3 phone numbers and 1 email from outlook. Anyone had luck with more than that? What about addresses? Anyone had luck getting sync via bluetooth, or getting pictures...

If you buy a game from "Get it now" - when you return to Verizon in x weeks to get the firmware update - will you lose the games?
Is there anyway to store them off the phone so you can re-install them? Will you have to buy them again?

Was wondering if someone could help me. I have the Motorola V710 with teh Motorola 820 Bluetooth headset.

Whenever I have my headset turned on, it works perfectly, but my handset no longer rings. I am often missing calls because I take the headset off for just a moment and miss the beep in the headset.

Does anyone know how to enable the Handset to Ring loudly whenever the Headset is turned on?

I cannot find this setting anywhere.

Does anyone know how to deletthe pictures that are already in the phone? They are taking up space and I do not have a trans flash card yet. Any help is greatly appreciated !! tahns in advance. 😁

does anyone know how to delete all of the pictures that the phone comes with.

I just got the 128MB transflash and transfer over some mp3 to it. I'm able to copy them to the phones memory, play them as a sound file and primary ringer but when I try to assign them to a persons ringer in the contacts they don't show up in the list. What do I need to do so that I can asign them to a personal contact? Thanks, Scott
