Motorola V710
False Advertising At Verizon for V710--what do I do?
I quickly bought this phone when I read this at Verizonwireless.com early this week:
"And with Bluetooth wireless technology, you
can ... connect to your PC or PDA whenever and wherever you want."
Then, I learned that maybe some of these features were "disabled", and after inquiry to Verizon, the tech support rep wrote this in an e-mail reply:
"Currently, the Motorola v710 from Verizon Wireless only supports the
following Bluetooth functions:
· Wireless headsets
· Wireless car kits (voice calls only, no syncing contacts)
· Dial-Up networking
Contact syncing, file sharing, and any other Bluetooth functions outside of the ones listed are not supported on the v710."
Apparently, not even the ones liste...

HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED BLUETOOTH DROPOUT?
My Jabra 250 headset is a dream, was [still is] working perfectly. Today, the phone was "seeking" the headset, but couldn't find it. I had to reprogram the phone to the headset. Now its working again. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal? Is the phone defective? the headset?

Voice Commands for Voicemail?
Is there anyway to play back your Verizon voicemail messages using voice commands? Do you have to use the keypad?
There's a "Voice Mail" command you can speak to the V710 through your headset, but as far as I can tell once you get connected to your voice mail, the only thing you can do (if you don't want to use the phone's keypad) is leave yourself a message. Am I missing something?

Voice Recognition - Contact List
A recent reviewer (jchabala) said that he/she had problems scrolling through contacts and having the phone "read out" the names. My phone does what he/she said his/her phone doesn't do. I'm writing this hoping that "jchabala" reads this message and takes his/her phone to a Verizon Wireless store to have Tech Support check it out. My husband's phone was having the same problem...no more!

I can't seem to figure out how to delete all of the pictures that come with the phone. I tried to mark the pictures then select delete all marked but it doesn't work. If anyone can figure it out let me know.

New bluetooth headset

USB cord and transfering MP3s and wallpaper
hey guys from what im reading on here, it seems only possible to send mp3s and such to the phone using transflash. So what i wanna know is if it is possible to do just with the usb cord and mobile phone tools 2.0. And if not whats it for... just for transfering phonebook contacts and email and such? thanks... 😁

Camera Problems - Software Issue
I have come to the conclusion that the camera problem is a software issue. I recently purchased a v710 and I took a few pictures on the phone before turning it off for the first time. The pictures looked very good. However, after I turned the phone off and took pictures with it, the pictures had a great deal of static. The exact same issue is occuring with my brother who has the phone. Hopefully they will fix this with the next software update. As anyone else experienced this exact same phenomenon? Thanks...

Has anyone managed to get the V710 to iSynch 1.5 on the mac? I keep getting "No device found!"
The BlueTooth has discovered the phone and has sent a key number for pairing. But the phone and mac cannot be synched.
I have sent feedback to Apple on this. No response!

How do I move my ringer and pics to my computer?
I just got mobile phone tools 2.0f and a moto USB cable. I'm able to get my phonebook and calender but don't see were to download my ringers and pics. Any help would be appreciated.

Transfering videos to the phone
I'm trying to transfer a video from my computer to the phone via transflash. The video on my computer is in .mpg format. What file type do I need to change it to in order for it to play on the v710. It has shown up on the 710 but it just says playing and there is nothing playing and no sound. I have tried multiple formats as well. mp4, mpeg, 3g2, and some other ones. Please help. Also is there a maximum size that the videos can be? If so how do I condense the video size. Please help...thanks

I look at myself in the mirror and i just see this huge thing sticking out of my ear.. it looks huge to me.. What about the Jabra250. i've seen pics but how does it look on a person. does it look like a monster? Is it comfy? Does it go into standby mode like the HS820. and turn off and turn on the same way with that 3-5 second wait?? Please help

Bluetooth Headset has stopped working
My HS820 BT Headset has stopped working with my phone. Worked great for the last two weeks. Now when I try to connect it will go to the seeking screen, with the bluetooth indication showing it is actively transmitting and just sit there (versus when the BT headset is off it will quickly come back and say unable to connect so there is some communication going back and forth) When I try to rebond it finds the headset right away, and when I select it it asks the question if I want to bond with the device, which I say yes and enter the password (0000)which it verifies and saves. Then it goes to the Seeking headset screen and just sits there forever. (The BT transmit icon goes away a while later). Anything else I should try before a master reset ...

Will I be able to?
I got a phone that has a keypad that shifts and it seems like its a little loose around the bottom too.
I bought it the last day of July I believe, would I be able to go to the RS i bought it at and exchange it?
And would I be able to transfer the files and such to the new phone? (Like my ringtones, pictures, phonebook, etc.)

Camera on my V710
I purchased my V710 on 7/29/04 thru Radio Shack. I have been taken photo for the last 3 weeks with it. The quality is Horrible. I have tried adjusting everything, but the quality still sucks. Today I went into verizon and tried all there camera phones. Samsung and LG don't even have the 1.3 mega camera, but there photos are 100% better and clearer. I then ask a rep to open a new V710 and compare the quality. The quality was better on the new phone. Has anyone else experience this?
