Motorola V710

Hi Everyone,

Is there anyway to change the number that the phone dials when you hit the voice menu key and say "Voicemail" ? I wanted to add two pauses and my password. I know that I can add it to my "Voicemail" contact in my contact list but then I have to say, "Name dial......... Voicemail..." That gets old after a while.

Anybody heard anything about if Motorola is going to change the fact that when your bluetooth headset is on it rings and your phone doesn't? It's getting to be a pain to turn on and off my headset. It takes about 15-20 seconds to turn the headset on when I get a call so I wind up answering the call, telling them to wait, turning on the headset and then taking the call. I don't want to wear my headset all the time, I carry it in my pocket and take it out when I get a call. Likewise I dont want to get a call and do a shortcut to turn on the headset mode because that defeats the convience of just using your headset and not ever touching your phone.

Hey I was just surfing my account on verizonwireless.com and was looking at my phone. It shows a picture of some LG (not my previous phone) and not my v710. The manuel also pulls up for an LG. Anyone else have this problem?

Anybody else have this problem. I add a new contact, then it disappears. wtf? 😕

I have an Ipaq 1945 and I can the devices to link but when the ipaq tries dialing #777 the phone never displays anything but instead just beeps a few times. Eventuall the ipaq states cannot connect for unknown reason. I know people have successfully linked their ipaq to their phone. Any help would be great.

Any1 know how I can shorten songs and place them as a ringtone on my phone? I have the tflash card. I have some songs on itunes and im trying to set some of them as ringtones and it isn't working...please help me shorten the length and change the bit rate and all that jazz so i can set a song as a ringtone please...thanks 🙂

I only use my HS820 in my car. I leave it my car at all times.

First, I tried leaving it on even when I get out of my car, but the interior of my house is close enough to the car that the bluetooth connection remains and I miss phone calls.

Next, I created a short cut on my V710 to simplify executing the "DROP" command. This seemed to work okay, but even with the nifty 710 short cut, it's still a hassle to do the DROP every time I exit my car.

Now, I've decided to just turn the HS820 off when I leave the car and turn it back on (and wear it) when I get in the car.

I wish there was a way to make allow the 710 to ring while bluetooth connected, 'cause I'd like to keep my headset at arms length instead of always wearing it when it's...

ok, I know the 710 has BREW but my email is with SBC Yahoo and everytime I try to access the page it says I need JAVA. Can I not log into the SBC Yahoo page???? Thanks guys.

when I go to contacts, my contacts show 3 on a screen really big and bulky with their phone numbers...Im assuming there is a way to have them take up 1 line so I can fit about 10 on a screen at a time...can someone point me to this option?

My battery was pretty much dead as far as I know...the icon only had one red line. I went to plug the charger into the phone when it was shut off and the phone turned itself on and gave me a "unable to charge" message. What does it mean? I unplugged it and plugged it in a few times and it finally worked but it scared me a bit. Do you think its a glitch on my phone? thank you for your help

Ok, my previous plan was 800 minutes for $59.99 with free nights and weekends and free mobile web. My contract ended and I wanted to get the v710 with the new contract. I spoke with the rep and said I wanted to keep the same exact plan with no additions, I said I had free nights and weekends and free web. The rep said that would be no problem, I could keep the exact same plan. Well, I get my bill and now EVERYTHING is charged for, $10 unlimited nights and weekends, $4.99 mobile web, plus those bastards added the stupid IN plan for $10 a month as well as PIX messaging for $4.99 and $2.99 for text messaging.

I am pissed, now I have to call and complain and they will probably give me some excuse. Even if they give me the old plan, they ...

I got the v710 last friday, and i registered on vzwpix.com and it wont let me login.. keeps saying authentication failure.... i'm using the correct password and everything

Does anyone know if Quick 2 Net through DUN only works when you are in a NON 1 X area. I can get a connection using the 1 X settings ([email protected], etc.), but cannot get a connection at all with qnc for id and password. Any ideas?

I tried this the other day to call customer service to upgrade my account. I was driving with my BT headset and it didn't recognize the terms star 611 or asterisk 611. Any ideas? I haven't found a way to program/train voice dial to do this.

Is there a way to put a specific ringtone to non id callers ala block or unvailable this can be done on the LG phones wanted it for my moto

That sounds great to me.. just say Digit and then the speed number. for example 41.. instead of the name of the person.. less confusing that way for the operator... oh well maybe next time. Hmmm maybe even a software upgrade can do that come to think of it.

I plan on purchasing the phone next month after the firmware fix is out but in the meanwhile I went into the VZW store to see the phone and talk to the sales folks. They had little clue as to how to work it, did not realize the picture was off kilter, did not realize that you diconnect the call when the case is closed and using speakerphone, did not know how to send a picture to my email, beleived that the bluetooth was fully funtional for data transfers and knew nothing of upcoming firmware updates and the list goes on...

I use Yahoo mail a lot and just got a V710 phone. It takes a lot of keystrokes to add Yahoo as a favorite, go to it, log in, and select "Mail".

Is there a way to make it accessible from the VZW home page?

How many people's screens have been scratched by the rubber things that's supposed to protect it just above the camera lens (Technically it’s not the screen but I don’t know what else to call it)? Mine has about 10-15 small scratches all across the top that can be seen pretty well in direct light. I really like this phone but don't want to return it because I've downloaded some programs and customized it to my liking. Also I returned the first 710 I got because the keypad shifted up and down a lot and this one is pretty good. I'm worried because I had Verizon take out another new 710 the last time and its keypad shifted a lot too. Mine is fine except for the scratches which will most likely hurt its resale value.

Any suggestions would be...

So I am captureing Videos and then I hit store only, but I can't find the videos. My memory space decreases so they are getting stored, but they aren't under my Videos directory. Anyone else having this problem? What should I do?
