Ring-Tone Volume

Ring-tones sound great and loud at first but after a second of playing ring-tone sound seems to drop off quite a bit and will fluctuate up and down till the end, any reason why this happens and does anyone know of a fix for this?

Mp3 Clips as Ringtones and 3 Minute Length Videos

Mp3s can in fact be used as ringtones if you have transflash. All you have to do is put a short mp3 clip on the transflash and then copy it over to the phone and then you can easily set it as a ringtone. As for the 3 minute videos, once you have the transflash it lets you record videos up to 3 minutes as long as you are saving it to the transflash!

Best place for headsets and transflash cards?

Bluetooth headsets and transflash cards seem to be the hot items for the 710. Where is the best place to shop for each or both of these things? What's a good price?

MOVIE TRAILERS ON V710....

I understand that in order to play short clips and videos the movie format has to be changed... but how do I save movie trailers to my computer in the first place? They all play directly on quicktime or Windows Media Player and there isnt an option for me to save them? Any help?

Amazon shipping Transflash

Just got my confirmation that Amazon has shipped my transflash card. The original expected ship date was in October so this is kind of a surprise...a nice one.

They currently sell the transflash for $33.99

V710 & Get It Now

Just a quick question:

Has anyone else noticed that there are VERY few applications available for the V710 through Get It Now? (For example, there are no casino games whatsoever.)

Anyone know the reason for this or if there are likely to be more applications soon??

Thanks!!

Stereo Headphones for MP3 listening via the 3/32" headphone jack?

I bought a 1/8" to 3/32" (a.k.a. 2.5mm) headphone adapter for my 710 so i can plug in my CD player headphones and listen to my MP3's on my 710, but the adapter adds an extra inch to the phone and gets in the way. The FM Stereo data port plugin headphones that Motorola sells annoy me the same way, except they plug into the bottom of the phone--same problem, different side of the phone...

I was wondering if anyone had come across a hands free headset with TWO earbuds so I don't have to chop up my 1/8" CD player headphones and re-solder a 3/32" end onto them. Anyone?

HS820 Makeshift Lariat

I took an eyeglass/sunglass holder with the rubber rings on the ends and hooked one on the ear piece and the other on a shirt button. Looks a little cheesy but it works.

The ear wrap is so light and flexible, I can see where it might fall off easily so I'm going to do this until a better solution is found.

BTW, the sound quality from the 820 is phenomenal.

Bluetooth 820 Won't Bond w/710

Can't get my Bluetooth HS820 to bond with my V710. 😢

I followed the directions, VZ store rep followed directions...7-yr old (who can program anything) followed directions and NADA bonding.

Any insight or tips before I spend time calling VZ Tech Services?

Maybe I changed a setting I shouldn't have when I first got the phone. If I do a Master Reset will I lose my contact list?

TIA!

Custom Ringer ID Problem (bigack?)

I've seen this come up before, but nobody has posted any solutions yet. Are those of you that are transferring these ringers to your phones using them as ringer ID's or just as standard ringers?

If I go to the audio menu, I can play them just fine. When I assign them as ringer ID, they do not play (when people call, my phone is silent).

Any ideas? Do they actually need to be converted to midi (not just extension change) do be used in this way? I'm Stuck.

Thanks
-T

over in the "Verizon Launches Megapixel Camera Phone with Bluetooth" discussion:

How does the phone really work? Sending and Receiving

I am considering the V710. I see lots of discussion here about Blue Tooth (the reason I am interested in it) but nothing about how well the phone sends and receives. Motorola has had a series of bad phones recently. Star Tac was the last good one. I live in a fringe area. The transmitter and receiver in the phone have to work well. Does anyone have thoughts on how well the V710 works in fringe areas?

Has the phone been out long enough to tell if there are going to be any reliability issues?

Thank you,

Bill

Bluetooth, Acura TL and Parrot CK3100 pro install BT car kit

Does anyone know if you can sync the V710 phone book with the TL and/or Parrot CK3100 pro install bluetooth car kit? Apparently, from my understanding, you can sync all the other Motos such as V600 and etc. phone books but not the V170. The manuel says I need to use 'object push' or 'sending contacts via bluetooth' - on my cell phone, however, none of these can be found stated in the manual. Please help!
