HELP Motorola V710 NOT RECOGNIZED by Mobile Phone Tools!
HELP my Motorola V710 NOT RECOGNIZED by Mobile Phone Tools! I have the cable and the newest version of mobile phone tools. My brother has the same phone as me and his will connect to my computer with my cable with no problem, but mine does nothing when connected. Can you give me any advice as to how to get this to work? Is this a known problem?

has anyone gotten into the programming menu, because i have and i turned test mode on and i dont know how to turn it off. any help would be much appreciated. 😁

Mobile Phone Tools GOOD FOR NOTHING?
I was just looking at the motorola section of the BVRP website to find out more about mobile phone tools for th 710 and found out some disturbing news... when you go to look up what phones are compatible, the 710 is listed, which i already expected but what i didnt expect was that it has absolutely no options available...
here is the pdf, you can see it for yourself, please prove me wrong, if this is the case, i dont know what to do, according to this, i cant even back up my phonebook...

Outlook sync - sucks or not w/V710?
Can anyone confirm if this phone offers what I must have in terms of Outlook sync?

What I need:
- Calendar: Sync all types of items - appointments, meetings, etc., including all types of repeating items (limited repeating, e.g., 3 weeks in a row, or repeat endless, exceptions, etc.). Need to sync the location field as well as the appointment name.
- Contacts: Sync standard contact info (name, phone, email, address. Select which Outlook contact folders to sync would be nice, or select items by category, but I can live if I need to setup a separate "phone" sync contact folder in Outlook I can live with that.
Can anyone confirm if this phone has (or will have) decent Outlook sync? Will it be necessary t...

Giving Voicemail commands over headset??
Is there any way to control the voicemail system over a Bluetooth headset? For instance, entering in your pin, or number commands to hear and delete messages. So I don’t have to press the corresponding numbers on my phone.
does the moto V710 come with games already installed in the handset like nokias?
i was just wondering, i just ordered this phone last night and im hoping that it already has a couple games installed. or do u have to use the get it now service? isnt there anywhere else to get games?

MP3 - how to download?
I have the new V710 with Verizon. I cannot find any documentation on how to download MP3 files from my laptop to the phone? How do you get MP3 songs (not just ringtones) on this phone??

This is it for awhile if your looking for a BT enabled phone from VZW.
Seems like if your wanting a BT enable phone from VZW...this is it. out of all our test phones none of them have BT, so this means VZW is not even testing another BT phone by any other phone maker....Godd luck for all you guys not wanting this and are planning on waiting for a diff BT phone....

motorola's first 710 to register Bluetooth headset promotion
hey all,
did anyone else get an email from motorola saying that they were one of the first 710 to register and won the blue tooth accessory?
i just got my email this morning saying i won. it says 8-10 weeks to receive it but hey that's 99.00 i don't have to spend on getting one.
i'll post a review of the headset after i get it so if anyone else thinking of getting it they can get some info on how it works etc.

Someone posted yesterday that VZW will not support transflash. I tried to search for this message, but a search for "not support transflash" yeilded 75 pages.

Verizon Mobile Office not working with V710
I had the Verizon Mobile Office 2.0 working with my old T720 for both laptop Dial Up Connectivity and Phonebook backup. This does not seem to be working with the V710. Connected to the USB port, I keep getting the message, "Cannot detect phone". Anybody get this working yet? The support guy at Verizon told me to go buy another updated version of the cable/software. Wanted to check with you guys before dropping more money into this.

No NationalAccess service for V710??!!
I note that the features shown for the V710 on the Verizon Wireless website does not list their higher speed NationalAccess service as a feature that the V710 is capable of. Does this mean that the V710 cannot only be used as a modem with a PC or laptop computer at the slower 14.4 speed?
