Motorola V710

hey is there someone that could help me because i just got the bluetooth head set the HS 820 and i cannot get it 2 connect 2 my cell phone.

well i got the mobil web 2.0 added to my account and its nice ,but as soon as i go to a website and go into a highlighted link my screen goes black and i hear a LOUD beep, and my phone loses sercice and comes back as extended network then goes to my regular screen!!!! it donr it twice so far, and iam kinda of scared why its doing it???? is this happening to anybody else with the 2.0????? thanks

HAS ANYONE USED THIS SMARTPHONE? If so how do you like it and how would you rate it from 1-10. Also Pros and cons. Does it link up w/ the v710?

I say someone should just post general info every 3 hours or so, just so that people dont ask stupid questions every 20 mins. Anyone with me?

I think somewhere deep down we are all routing to hit 300 or 400 or however many pages possible, but it's not nearly enough to talk about.

But to those of who you make posts exclaiming 200! and 300! and in a few days I am sure: 400! it seems like every time you post something there are at least 25 posts telling you to STFU (shut up).

So, really, because of you all, we are only at like, I don't know, 50 pages...

what is the difference from getting the phone from radio shack versus verizon? does radio shack charge more to make a profit or is it the same?

the motorola and verizon website doesnt display the v710 for the past half an hour now
i think its being updated and when you do a search on those sites it doesnt work because it doesnt bring up the phone, in any case it seems as if the phone will be out very very soon like tomorrow!!!

Does anyone know if it is possible to get to Outlook Web Access (OWA) or Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) from the v710? From a normal web browser, an authentication dialogue box pops up and you enter your username and password. It doesn't seem like the Openwave browser supports this method of authentication (like my Blackberry does, for example). I'm guessing Verizon is determined to keep you on their sites, paying for everything (yet another email account, for example) but maybe I'm missing something. Thanks.

Samsung a670 vs. v710

Got tired of waiting for the v710 and have had the Samsung since mid June...love the phone, just no speaker or BT. I really like the menus, mobile web is quick, and everything is easy to use (and it is the smallest, most solid feeling phone i've ever owned).

So I got lucky and bought a v710 at verizon (only paid 250 after rebate cus I added a line to my account).
I can't decide what to keep...it's killing me...the v710 is "cooler" and i love the speaker phone, earpiece volume is lousy compared to samsung, the camera is just ok, but the rf is excellent and the screen is beautiful...haven't had a single bug....just can't decide....the build quality isn't up to par with samsung....

anyone?????

I've been reading the posts on the board for quite a wile. There where a few people who wanted to take the phone they bought at Radio Shack (RS) back, something having to do with the "FirmWear." I do understand what FirmWear is, but I don't know how it relates to a phone. 😕
Is there something that Verizon is going to do when the phone comes out, that the RS phones don’t already have packaged with them?
Now as for the camera goes. I went to RS to see the V710 for my self at my local mall. They had a full functioning model (not a dummy phone) and I played around with it for about 15 minutes.

i dont have a camera phone so i dont know...do you have to pay to have this account and send pictures through it?

The mp3 player works great with trans flash I have been testing my friends phone. It plays most popular MP3 bit rates 112kbs,128kbs,192kbs,and variable kbs all played well and transfered to the phone to use as a ring-tone. The mp3 renamed to mid also worked fine. I also checked pics also. There is some sort of file size limit or maybe doesn't like images with high compression. JPG and BMP picture files showed up and viewed fine. some didn't work due to the file size. A gif image showed up in the list, but I didn't have a pic small enough to view. One question I have is firmware version my friends is 8700_01.30.8f any one have anything different is that the latest one? This is so we can compare when we start getting phones from verizon. i currently have a s200 with tmo ... but there is massive dust on the lens that i am just too lazy to clean ... is it true that you guys have this problem with the v710 ? .. if so im not getting it ..

...cause they never sent me one, after i signed up on their crummy site and everything. jerks!

if i take the card and put it into the SD adapter, can i put the adapter into my photo printer that excepts memory cards and sticks?

With the phone coming out from verizon over a week later then RS will some of the bugs be fixed? IOf so could they possibly make the camera take better pics when they put the new firmware on it?

ok there is a lot of dust beginning to be collected underneath the glass on the camera lens. and you can't get rid of it b/c its underneath the glass. is there any way to get rid of the dust and what happens when it collects a lot? will i not be able to use the camera? help!

Is there any real benefits to getting this phone now at RS or should I wait till Verizon sells it.. I hear that the Verizon store version will have updated firmware and hopefully have some of the bugs fixed.

All of this jabbering leads to my next question: Will the free BT headset promotion start on 8/11 at 12:01am? If this is the case, if I already have the phone from RS, all that I have to do is wait till then and simply open my laptop and register it. If I wait until I get it on 8/11, I will have to be there when the store opens, buy it, race home, and hope that I am one of the first 710 people to have it registered. That seems like a hassle to have a newer version of firmware.
