Motorola V710

I ran out and got this phone Friday the 30th at my local Radio Shack. I LOVE the phone but am very disenchanted and disgusted by the camera and camcorder quality. I know that cam phones aren't as good as digital camera's but why is my V600 camera with Cingular way better than the V710?? In a very well lit environment the V710 is decent. Inside a home or low lit room it's horrible, even with the flash. My V600 which is also made by Moto kicks it's ass in cam quality, low light or well lit places. My big question is, should I return this phone to Radio Shack and get it directly from Verizon being there is all this talk of Verizon having the full software editions?? And will Verizon's batch of V710's have better camera quality? Anyone t...

I know its definitely the most anticipated phone in phonescoop.com history.. But it also seems like in the U.S. too.

Whoever gave the phone a 1 &1/2 because the camera sucked ( 😕 )is a real f**king @sshole. Camera is supposed to be a side feature that no one will really use. If you want to buy a real camera and you got a phone, then you are just a stupid dumb@ss. None the less, if you think this the camera blows, take off one point or 1 & 1/2. not 4. 🙄

I think we all agree Bluetooth is one of the major motivations to get this phone. So being that the headset is a critical component here, which one is better?

I bought the HS810 somewhat by accident b/c I didn't see the HS820 advertised at the time and couldn't see any meaningful differences. But since then I have seen different battery lifes posted, different ways to turn on/off, different accessories, etc.

Anyone who has had both or at least tried both, can you tell me if I should return the HS810 and get the 20?

Does anyone know if the v710 is able 2 connect 2 a laptop? Has any one tried it?

Ive read that the phonetools software doesn't work with OSX. Ive also read that you cant sync the phone with an OSX Mac at all. If bluetooth is an open standard shouldn't this work? or is verizon and Motorola becoming like sony and making you buy extra proprietary software and hardware?

Anybody know if this phone is similar enough to the Moto T720 to work with Apple's iSync?

I'd be surprised if Apple didn't update iSync to support the phone, when the phone actually ships - but I wouldn't really be all that surprised if it worked now.

Does anybody who has access to the phone have access to a Mac to test it out? That would really be a deal breaker for me.

Got a v710 today and it's great, but I do have a question...

Looking at the camera, the red dot (the iris) is off center on my phone. Is this normal? The camera works fine, but the pics I've seen don't show it off center.

Just curious if it's supposed to be centered or slightly off.

For some reason, I am unable to access get it now. When I attempt to go there, it list the error as unable to download catalog.

Would anybody be willing to check the programming of the get it now section of the programming menu?

To access the menu, , 0, 7, 3, 8, 8, 7, *, then 6 digit security code. There is a menu selction for get it now, and I am wondering if mine is set differently.

Anyone out there know how to hack or customize voice dial so that I can add more commands when using Bluetooth headset?

One command in particular I would love to add is "Capture" for the camera feature. Or maybe a way to press the Multi Finc button to take the picture.

I had the Moto T730, and it was great, except the volume was too low. You had to have it exactly in the right spot on the ear to hear--no room for error. I hear the V710 has the same issue.
Why is it they didn't learn from the T720/T730's? Why do Samsungs and LG's never have that problem?

To delete those stupid files that come with the phone that take up like 30 % of the space?

Does anyone know how to get the menu icons/navigation key off the main display? I didn't get to play with the phone very long, but am not that interested in the picture aspects if the icon overlay covers the wallpaper. Any help is appreciated.

My old compaq mp3 player takes 32mb sandisk multimedia cards, would they work in the v710?

So i just saw a Cingular commercial, the one with the three twins, and they're talking about new camera phones, and the first one mentions "motorola with bluetooth technology" i wonder if cingular plans on releasing the phone as well, or are there other motorola camera phones with bluetooth?
