Movie on Transflash

There was a post a little bit ago saying that someone saved a whole movie (Lilo and Stitch) onto their transflash card. If this is really true that is awesome. My question is how would one go about doing this? Is there software? If so, what do I need and sign me up. LOL
Thanks

Looks like more delay... 8/15/04 or later

Hello all,

I've been lurking these threads for about a month now and this is my first post. Last week I wrote an angry email to VZW customer service asking them why Radio Shack is getting these telephones first and why I, a loyal Verizon customer, should continue to be so.

The first response was, in part:
The Motorola V710 is not offered as of yet on the Verizon Wireless network. If the phone is offered at Radio Shack is not offered for Verizon Wireless customers.

Of course, I replied with a URL to the website showing the v710 for sale under Verizon contract at Radio Shack and asked them to try again. My latest reply:

The Motorola V710 will be available to purchase from a Verizon Wireless retail locations on or after August 1...

MPT//V710/Bluetooth/Radio Shack DOESNT WORK! Moto knows it too!

So now that the v710 is being sold through Verizon's channels, namely Radio Shack, people are calling in for help with Mobile Phone Tools and the v710.

Here is the official word from the Mobile Phone Tools support people at Motorola;

This phone was not supposed to be released because the BT data transfer portion of the phone's operating system is malfunctioning. Motorola KNOWS there is an issue with BT and data and is currently working on a "patch" and will have it by the end of the month. At that time the customer can take their phone to Verizon or a Motorola repair center to have the patch installed.

In the meantime, those who are dissatisfied can return their phone to Radio Shack and the Mobile Phone Tools software for a refund...

BT headset issues w/ rings and music

I've searched around, but can't find an answer.

1) When the BT headset is in standby, the phone only rings through the headset. Is there a setting to force the phone to ring (actually, vibrate) even if the headset is active?

2) I can't seem to get MP3s to play over the BT headset. Works great through the speakerphone. Is this a "feature"?

GRRRRRRRRRR

I didn't expect this phone to come out so early, I thought they were going to say Augest, then it be Oct or Nov because they actually released it.

I just got a new battery for my mid-evil aged Kyrocera 2235! And this phone just came out, that was a waste. Oh well I got a couple more weeks to go before i can upgrade for my NE2 kicks in. I just went from 750 mAh to 1200 mAh can't wait to check it out, then with the antenna amp that seems to actually work! not as well as advertised but it does work.

Is there a new model of this phone coming out any time soon? If so I mise will hold out for it. I mean with the T720, the T730 is inherentally better, and that came out within two months later of the first.

As for the battery of this phone,...

Actual Talk Time

Could anybody, test the actual talk time? When you got some offpeak time free. Make sure your battery is completely charged, then call your house phone, leaving it off the hook. Then in the morning just check your call time, and report it. Just as a field study to see how long this phone REALLY lasts.

Speakerphone problems on the other end?

I searched the existing speakerphone threads and couldn't find anything on this issue. The speakerphone sounds great to me, but everyone I've talked to on the other end always says that it sounds as though the phone is breaking up when I use it. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it just my phone, or am I going to have to go shell out some $$ for the HF 800 to have a decent speakerphone?

I don't know why they didn't design this phone's speakerphone to work as well as the NEXTEL Iden series phones.

Info for those who might consider the v810 over the v710!!!!

Bluetooth data transfer to/from PC or Palm

I talked to Motorola software support this morning. Sorry if this is duplicate information...

The v710 currently does not support data transfer. There is no OPP - Object Push Profile - available on the handset. Motorola is releasing a software update for the v710 on 8/16, which will fix bugs related to BT headset and Acura/BMW car kit functionality. The rep told me that they are currently deciding whether to include OPP in the 8/16 software update. He told me to call back on 8/13, because at that point they'll know what the software update will include.

So, until then...no data transferring is possible between the v710, PC, and/or BT enabled Palm, or other PIM device...and even then it may never happen. I asked him what his gut f...

Bwahaha!

I order my SD 128MB transflash card, SD Card reader, and two stubby antennas 😁

I also bought a leather case at Best Buy.

Now all I want is a Bluetooth Headset! I'm being optimistic and hoping to register my V710, for the free Bluetooth headset. If I don't get it then I'll buy it 🙄

I'm still wondering which one is the better choice...

VErizon Employee Confirms BT "voice only"

https://www.phonescoop.com/carriers/forum.php?fm=m&f ... »

This was posted in the Verizon forum by an alleged Verizon employee.

Not a Motorola issue. Its Verizon "working for you"! I doubt any OBX will be available. Just simply sync.

Verizon may be the biggest, but possibly not the best soon.

Motorola says phone launched today

In a reply from tech support regarding the video, since I cannot get mine to go past 15 seconds, they said the following....

Thank you for contacting Motorola e-mail support.

Regarding your concern, this feature should last 3 min. The V710 was launched today, so my recommendation is to go back to the Store and ask the dealer to test this feature.

Thank you for allowing us to be of your assistance.

Best regards,

Macusers: Bluetooth problem solver?

has anyone tried using the application onsync? it's available on the apple site or from homepage.mac.com/antonioferraioli. It says that it works with the Motorola V600 (also V525, V500, 270c, A835). I don't know if this is good or bad but since I have not bought the phone yet (waiting for the 11th) and was really looking forward to the BT was hoping someone else may have looked into this.

(hope and pray, hope and pray)

First 710

As this phone is so new and demand is so high, I doubt prices will drop very quickly. They'll be more than happy to make money from the early adopters.

That said, what is the deal with the first 710 promotion? I mean some people have bought them and I can't imagine them having anything resembling a fair distribution across the country. Moto's site doesn't even say you can buy them yet and neither does Verizon, but they are out there. All I know is that I can't get one locally yet, and I'd bet a huge market like NYC or LA would eat up the first 710 before I see them in Michigan.
