Motorola V710

How is the color on the external and the internal display compared to like the vx7000 or other phones. Tanx.

I am able to put the light on the camera phone... but is there any flash, cause the light in the dark provides little light

I have the phone and I really like it, the only concern would be the camrea like most are saying. For anyone who has the phone and the TF card, how do you at least get the m to appear on your phone using a mac. I have the card in the computer nad it recognizes it and I had previously put the card into the phone and formatted it so there are many subfolders in the TF card. I have put it in man of the differnet folders on the cards( mp3s that is) but when i put them into the phone and chane the storage device it just doesnt let me open up the sounds menu. One time I put a few MP3s into the "mms" folder in the disk and it worked on my phone but i pressed end and it did not work from that point on,I have tried that again a few times but stil...

this question is kinda stupid 🤭 .on the smaller frontal screen is there an an animated character? on sprint phones that have the same 2 screen kinda look there are animated cartoons that run across and around the smaller fronta screen.
my second question is how long is the video? ive heard it is 15 seconds but when i played with the phone at radio shak it went for two minutes, and maybe wouldve went longer but i got tired of playing with it and closed the phone.

I have new every 2 b/c I have been using this crap heap of a phone - T720 for about 2 1/2 years now.

With a one year contract I understand it is $319 minus $70 rebate which is the $249 RS price...but then if you have new every two do you also get a $100 credit off this price? So final price of $149? Can someone confirm this for me? I don't mind waiting 9 days to save $100, but my T720 is heading towards the garbage can very quickly...

I spent the greater part of my morning at RS trying to upgrade my phone. Apparently you can only upgrade and not early upgrade from RS only VZW which sucks considering they don't have the phone. I spoke to a sales rep and he said due to the possible software upgrade the V710's are getting, the release might not be until the end of August.

I just spoke to a Motorola customer service rep and he said the problem with the phone syncing with USB or blue tooth is a known problem and they are aware of it and there will be a firmware release with in 60 days. 👿 !!!!!! He said he understood my frustration and it could be released next week. Yeah Right!!!!! Verizon is aware of this and they will be doing the update. So heads up if you are waiting to buy the phone. you may want to wait a little longer.

can anybody tell me the price of the ohone if im just getting an upgrade and i dont qualify for the free every two year thing? i was going to buy the phone from radio shack last friday but was short $20. ( they wanted $519). is the price going to be cheaper or higher if i go to a verizon store? 😁

With some of the problems I'm reading about the V710 here, I'm wondering if I should wait to buy it when they fix these problems. I wanted to get it right away so I could take advantage of the special offer by Motorola if you're one of the first 710 to register the phone. I have the first T720 that Verizon released, and saw how much in price it came down as time went, and how they released the T730, which is basically the same phone but with certain problems fixed (I assume). I'm not really concerned about the price, but more if they release an improved version later? So, should I get it or not? (and don't tell me no so you can get the free headset/speaker!!LOL!)

Now that I've got my V710 does anyone know when we can register them to try for the free headset?

ok i just called my radioshack to see if they had any on display so i could play around with it and they said no...does verizon have the phone for display?i wanna see the size on this phone in my hand already, and get to play around with it for a little.

How bright and what color are the lights on the buttons?

is this the extended battery for the v710? Does it require a larger back case?

The external display is pissing me off for two reasons:

1) When someone calls and you have a picture stored with them it shows up SUPER tiny on the external display. I want it to fill up the whole display with text overlayed.

2) I hate these stupid backgrounds, I want to add my own custom picture that I either took or sent to my phone (via email since the bluetooth is working SOOOOO well right now).

Any ideas?

Let them know you have a v710 and would like iSync to support it.

I'm a bit disturbed that Verizon has chosen to disable the generic Sync profile in the Bluetooth (assuming that the 710 supports it natively, which is almost certain) and, had they left it enabled it would have (likely) worked out of the box. Alas, Verizon will be Verizon.

They currently provide sync support via serial/usb (like on my old POS 720) and, using PhoneTools with my PC I was able to mirror my old 720 phonebook / calendar easily, so if the Bluetooth - serial link works OK they should be able to make things work.

I have this phone and I'm trying to sync this with my Outlook contacts (and calendar if possible). I have both a D-Link bluetooth adapter, which allows the phone to go through my computer for voice calls through my computer, like a wireless headset, but does not give me the option to sync. In addition, I have an old USB cable for my T720/T730, which recognizes the phone, but does not have the USB driver.

Any suggestions how I can get my contacts (200+) into my phone without having to manually reenter them? Will Verizon sync my new with my old?
