Motorola V710

The only thing that i dont like about the V710 is that when you have bluetooth enabled, the battery like drops drastically. I like to keep it on so that when I turn on my headset, it just connects right away without me having to touch the phone. I had bluetooth enabled all day yesterday and the battery life went from full(6) to 2. Then today I had the bluetooth off and kept turning on handsfree when I wanted to use the headset and the battery meter is at 5. Otherwise I like the phone.

How do you cut down the time for the mp3 so that you can use it as a ringtone?

That is my question...It's out at RS when is it going to be available in VZW stores...
it's not even on the 99999 zip code...

I saw on a website that the V600 was able to connect with a Mac running OSX viabluetooth. Has anyone tried this with the V710.

I have a new Chrysler 300C that has UConnect (Bluetooth) I have been waiting for this phone a long time. I have heard that it has issues pairing with Bluetooth enabled devices. The only reason I want this phone is for the BT technology to use with my car. Any input would be appriciated.

I'd really like to own this phone. But I'm not into buying things that have a lot of bugs in them. Can someone that owns this phone could please tell me whether or not this phone is solid.

Even though I took back my V710 to radioshack as I would rather have it from verizion than RS. I am choosing between the lg vx 7000 or the V710 again. I had it for 2 days and I really like it alot, I am just not sure that it is worth the $600.00 (with headset) at full retail that I must pay for it right now. I went to my local Cleveland area store today,(North Olmstead) to check out the Vx7000 and All 6 of the employees were telling a couple of customers and each other that The "Motorola Video Phone" was going to be available tomorrow monday the 2nd after 2:00p.m. I asked if the full retail price would be as much as Radio shack and he said the $519.99 sounded high but he was not sure.. Hey all,

Just got my v710 today.. For some reason I can't seem to sync it with my mac.
I am trying to transfer my address book from my cpu to the phone.
I have used the bluetooth setup assistant and it has discovered the phone but the check boxes that are needed for isync are greyed out.
Anyone have any ideas on how to make this work??

I noticed some things that may be features and may be bugs:

1) When a bluetooth headset is on (standby), and there is an incoming call, the phone does not ring. The ring sounds in the bluetooth headset w/ headset specific ring notification.) That means that if I forget to turn off the headset and put it in my pocket, I will not hear a ring and will miss a call.

2) An attempt to play an MP3 when the bluetooth headset is on results in a ring sounding in the headset, (headset specific ring notification), and no playback through the built-in speaker.

I've done a search and have turned up nothing useful.

I have a Xlash card that I loaded about 10 mp3s to. Tried to play on the phone & got a single beep although the player shows the file as playing. No sound from th e headset, earpiece or speakerphone. How in the hell do you listen to an mp3 on this thing. I can't even hear the mp3s that came on the phone, only a single beep.

Please help!.

15 days is up and then get a phone from an actuall verizon store when they release the v710? or will i have problems when they see i cancled my current plan? any help will be much appreciated. thank you

Has any one put any thought into how to listen to mp3s? does the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter have a stereo or mono output. Do you have to buy the FM radio/headphones to get stereo audio or does it even work? Note its a FM stereo headphones, Not just plain stereo headphones. Thanks to anyone that can answer this.

P.S. It has already been said that the bluetooth headsets don't work for MP3. I really don't know why you would want that anyway, because thats only mono.

Does anyone have a reasonable guess as to how long it will be before these cards pop on eBay? I'm hoping that once some wholesalers show up on eBay, we'll be able to get these even cheaper than on Buy.com.

after a year of dropped calls and terrible service (2 bars or less)i finally gave in and threw my v60p across the room and i broke it...the inner and outer screens are both cracked and 1 of the hinges to flip the phone open is broke...

now my question to you is this...DOES THE V710 come out for sure on august 11th??!?!?!? i can go 10 days without a phone, i dont think i can go any longer though, its bad enough i lost my phone book forever ☹️
