Motorola V710

Is this phone selling yet? I see it up on the radio shack site, but its not on the VZ site and I want to buy already!!

I want to email myself a ringer but there is a size limit when you pic mail from the verizon wireless website. How do I send it from an email client (when I tried through Eudora it gave an error).

I got my phone at Radio Shack. So far I love it. I have questions as to whether or not the software that the Radio Shack version has on it will be different from the Verizon version offered in their stores. Does anyone have any info on this? Will there be software updates if this is true? As well I'd like to get the TransFlash card for this phone, as well as the SD reader, I'm assuming. Instead of getting the SD reader, can I just hook the phone up to my PC using cables, and if so, can someone tell me what kind? ANY advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂

Which would be better:

Keeping the phone and upgrading the firmware whenever it comes out (with hope that it does resolve some of the kinks), or Taking it back to RS and waiting till next week to purchase from VZW (hoping that their shipment has already been upgraded, if this upgrade even exists)?


Also, you guys check out the movies on moto's site filmed with the v710?

I hope it is just this phone but in low light, and even with the flash Picture quality is very poor? No color saturation, But in Sunlight the look Ok to good... Any one else experencing this? Also on the screen there is a lot of lines of noise. HUMMMMMMM

I would like to know if there is a way to program the Voicemail passcode to my Voicemail prest (*86). I had this done on my old v60 once.

I had previously asked this question but I should have directed to to Verizon Sales reps who would be the ones who would most likely know.

The last two times I purchase phones from Verizon they had promotion deals at the time of my phone purchase. With Verizon sales folks reading these messages and the sale of the phone about 9 days away I figured they would know if any special pricing was available on the following:

Transflash cards
Bluetooth 820 Headset
Extended Life battery
cases or belt clips

The last 2 times they were willing to give my $10 off the extended battery.

So for those in the know do you have any information to share.

if it is true that you can fit a whole movie on a 128 mb card imagine how many movies u can put on it when they come out with one thats 1 gb?

I got two hs810's for my phone now. Wife bought me one and I bought myself one. Looking to dump one for cheap. If you are interested I can send out the link to my listing on ebay.

I don't know if this has been addressed yet, but does anyone know what Motorola is doing about its 710 promotion of giving away a bluetooth product to the first 710 people who register their phones with Moto? Obviously with the release of the 710 through Radio Shack, it puts those of us waiting for our Verizon dealers to get them at a distinct disadvantage. has Moto address this problem?

IS the battery on teh v710 attached to the battery cover or r they both seperate? If they are seperate could you store an extra tf card in there?

I was wonderin if it works at all on the V710 and if it do's can it transfer Mp3's and wallpapers to the phone or do we need to wait for 3.0

Can anyone confirm that Verizon will be selling the V710 for $419.99 with no upgrade or NE2 or contract extensions? I am in the middle of a NE2 contract, so I am apparently not eligible for any promotions, but I heard that Verizon will be selling the phone for $100 less than Radio Shack. If Verizon is the same price as RS, I'm heading over there to "Get It Now" rather than wait the 9 days for Verizon to start selling it.
Also, is the $70 rebate independent of any special upgrade deals? Does everyone get the $70 rebate?

Can anyone e-mial me any videos that people have succesfully played on there Motorola V710?
