Motorola V710

Just wondering if moto will check names the serial number is registered to. My friend said I could use his phones info if he gets it before me and the registration opens. Will I be able to use his phone info with my registration. Will moto check for that? thanks for your help.

Usually my post are my own opinions, however this time I am quoting a friend who works for RS.

According to him, the Direct2U orders were cancelled due to info found on PhoneScoop concerning a "Buy/Return/Buy Again" scam in order to get the phone earlier as outline in a post by a RS employee a couple of days ago. Remember, both VZW and RS (probably MOTO as well) monitor these forums. VZW has refered its customers to PS for info in the past, so this is not out of the question.

Also, according to him, RS purchase their phones fom MOTO not VWZ. He reminded me that the communications industry is full of legal complexities, VZW/RS sales agreement being one of those complexities. He assured me that RS would not advertise a product that...

radioshack close to them that should be getting TWO v710's tomorrow or friday? the guy at the radioshack guarenteed me he was only getting two of them tomorrow on his shipment and he would hold one for me, does any1 have a link to a site i could upload pics to tomorrow so i could show every1 the phone if this holds true?????

...when do you think they'd get more. My opinion is not until Verizon Stores get bloated with them in inventory. RS may not see more until after August is over.

I think Verizon is using the trickle out theory. Basically, using RS to tease the public by releasing a few phones. By the time VZW gets them a week later people will be bumrushing the stores to get their hands on them.

Possibly to sort out a few final nitpicky bugs too.

The phones that come to radio shack now. Will they be diff from the ones on the 11th for verizon. Such as adding i tunes to the 11th date shippping.

Never had a clamshell phone...manual says closing the clamshell ends the call.

Can this be changed in case you want to walk around w/a headset and keep the phone on your belt closed?

well i called 4 stores a couple of minutes ago and 3 of them told me that they dont know when it will be out but the verizon store in 86st and they told me that they dont have it yet but that it will come out in the middle of august this sucks i have to wait more this **** is getting me mad pissed off well if aug 11 is the middle of august i guess thats ok i hope it comes out august 11 is the day i hope 😁 if not ima be so ****ing 👿 pissed off this phone better not suck cuz i almost bought the vx 7000 but then thought about it over cuz he v710 sounds hot ight holla at me and tell me wat u think 😉

I am upgrading from a v60, and maybe its just that I am used to old technology, but how do you listen to the mp3s on teh phone? Am i going to see people holding a phone up to their head singing along and dancing down the street?

Does anyone know if this ships with the slim battery used by the T720? Must you replace the back to put on a standard or extended battery? I think the T720 has three OEM battery options and I thought I might pick up some accessories before the launch so I don't get gouged at the VZW store. What is the exact model nymber of the shipped battery?

Hey yall I signed a 1 year contract last December with Verizon. I got the lg 4400 but now I, like many others, am caught up with the v710 hype and what not. I noticed the retail on the 710 being 500ish, and was wondering if there is any way I can get the discount price? Would signing/extending my contract for another year when the phone is first introduced get me a discount or is that not an option? Thanks in advanced for any feedback!!

Does anyboy have any pros / cons for these?
The Jabra one looks smaller, and seems cheaper.

Has anybody had a good/bad experience with Jabra, or any of the others?

After the new update from the radio shack website. I called nearby radio shack in hollywood. They had it. I was second to be on the waiting list including the guy i was talking to. Hes getting it on fri. Maybe earlier. He said the total with the contract and mail in rebate. Only 250 . HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

The phones from radio shack coming on fri. Will they be diff from the ones being shipped to verizon on the 11th. Like maybe adding the i tunes feature. If so. I am not getting it from radio shack. Somebody answer. TANX

i just checked radioshack.com and typed in 17-1971 and the 710 page is back up

it also says, again, that it is available in stores

maybe verizon didn't have anything to do with it?

when i typed in my zip code, it said all locations were temporarily out of stock

someone else try theres, although i suspect all locations will say that
